Gave wings to it that cannot die.

Yet I have learned, through darkest night,
The beast is not my endless fight,
For deep within its wild embrace
Still beats a heart that seeks for grace.

I am not just the pain I bear,
Nor all the shadows lurking there,
For even beasts can learn to see
The strength in their humanity.
