STOP SCROLLING NOW!

: This post is for aspiring musicians, irrespective of style or skill level.

Before now, the concept of music learning has just been left to the hands of an in-person instructor.

Truth be told, only a few of them have the right level of experience, exposure, and expertise to tutor, instruct, coach, and mentor you.

In the 21st century, learning experience has really been enhanced in such a way that you can learn at your own pace and convenience. As such, YOU DON'T NEED AN IN-PERSON INSTRUCTOR.

At hearandplay.com, we specialize in teaching musicians around the world, helping them to actualize their dreams of playing an instrument or singing.

We have music courses for the drums, guitar, piano and the voice.

Call 07038284190 for more information on how to get your course and start out with your musical goals for 2018.

hearandplay.com video courses on Piano (Gospel, Jazz and Salsa) and Vocals are available for purchase. Contact Moses Umoh on 08066545901 for more information.

Piano Lesson with Mus. Chuku Onyemachi

There are so many situations in music where less is more and chord voicing is one of those situations

Sophisticated voicings are beautiful for the most part and the number of tones in a chord really counts — the bigger, the better. However, there are situations where less is more.

I’m talking about situations where a fewer notes in a chord can do much more than you think they can.

If you understand the principles I’m about to share with you in this lesson, you’ll be able to achieve more in harmony, using fewer notes.

Let’s get started by refreshing our minds on chord voicing.

With the consent of our president and founder,
I'm so excited to invite all HearandPlay students in Nigeria to our music workshop, especially those of you around Rivers, Bayelsa, Abia and Imo States.
This is not one of those workshops you've attended previously, no. Talking about a music workshop that will help you Play S.M.A.R.T.
What does it take to play S.M.A.R.T?
Static Sections…Learn how to create the impression that you’re making a whole lot of chord movements when you’re just dancing around one chord.
Melodic Fills...Discover how to fill-in your playing with short and spicy melodic materials that will totally transform your playing overnight.
Arpeggios…Every serious pianist must learn how to play arpeggios. Arpeggios simply breaks up the notes of a chord in such a way that it sounds harplike. In this workshop, we’re covering over 60 arpeggios.
Reharmonization…Harmony just got better with reharmonization. In this workshop, you’ll not only learn tons of fancy and fascinating chords but how to reharmonize known songs with them.
Tritone Substitution…Tritones are the toast of jazz and gospel music styles. If you want to see what top players do with the triton, then don’t miss this workshop for anything because you’ll be given the license to play in two keys at once.
Instructor:
Onyemachi DrPokey Chuku
