Misconceptions About Cryptocurrencies🤔
1. Cryptocurrencies are exclusively used by people to buy illegal goods like drugs, weapons, and other illicit items. This is a typical misunderstanding of cryptocurrency. But in practice, cryptocurrencies can be used for a broad variety of legitimate purposes, such as small-scale transactions, value storage, and international money transfers.
2. Cryptocurrencies are not regulated: Cryptocurrencies are nonetheless subject to laws and regulations even though governments or central banks do not regulate them. For instance, anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) regulations must be followed by bitcoin exchanges and wallets.
3. Cryptocurrencies are a fad: Despite being relatively new—less than ten years old—cryptocurrencies have gained a lot of attention, it is here now, it is the future, it has come to stay, embrace it!
