KEY 5 : RECONCILIATION IS BETTER THAN DISSOLUTION
I still remember a story I read some months ago about a family . This man would always beat his wife everyday . Especially at night after getting drunk , he would lock the door and beat his wife to stupor . The poor woman tried her best to contain it but nothing was working . She even threatened many times to leave the marriage but they had two kids ( a boy and a girl ) which made it difficult for her .
This persisted for a long time . Meetings upon meetings but he didn't stop . So one day while the man was away for work , his two kids playfully decided to act the drama of how dad beats their mum daily . God so good , he entered at the right time . When he shifted the curtain he watched what changed him for life .
He saw the boy pressing his sister to the wall , giving her many slaps and kicks (playfully) . He saw how he squeeze her neck pinning her against the chair . Infact he saw him removing his belt to flog his sister several times while she shouted help! help! help! but nobody came . Infact he listened to what the girl was shouting , " you didn't promise me this " , " what have I done "
After the drama , the kids faced back only to discover they had been caught . They ran away to hide themselves. The man knelt down and cried bitterly after seeing just a demo of what he had repeatedly done to his wife for 10 years
From that day, he stopped beating his wife.
