Alhamdullillah we have started our Al Baydah Model School Project.

We have started collecting donations either cash or kind ranging from blocks, cements, granites and others.

I want to use this medium on behalf of the DSC Township Muslim Community, Warri Delta State to appeal to the public to donate to this noble cause.

I ask Allah to accept this from us all as an act of ibaadah.

Aamiyn.

Jazakumullahu khayran

*Notes from the Adab Al-Mufrad Class of our Shaykh, Abu Naasir Ibrahim Abd Rauf, Session 180, held on Sunday, Rabi Al Thanni 12, 1444/November 6, 2022*

As we have been encouraged to visit ourselves, it is important that we observe the manners of visitation. These are as follows:

1) The visit should not be at a time when people are known to be sleeping (e.g. the middle of the night)
2) It should be away from the time of meals so it will not be said that you are coming only for a meal, except it is a deliberate invitation for a breakfast, lunch, or dinner meeting
3) Visit with clean clothes and a nice appearance. Don't visit when looking disheveled or unkempt
4) When you arrive, make Tasleem, then knock the door gently up to three times. Do not bang the door
5) Don't stay right in front of the door but by the side, and don't peep looking into the house.
6) If they don't respond after the third time, then go away. If they do respond but ask you to leave, don't get annoyed as your reward is already assured
7) If they say "who is it?" you should reply with your name
8) If you don't meet the person you are visiting, drop a message with those at home or drop a letter or card
9) If you meet the door open, don't enter until you get permission from those in the house or at the gate.
10) Send a notice aforehand before the visit. Don't make it sudden lest it brings discomfort to the host
11) If you find that the host is busy or is getting ready to do something from his own needs, don't delay your stay, even if the person exhorts you to stay
12) Do not make private discussions with others in front of your host
13) Do not prolong your stay for no reason because your host may have something to do else planned that is only been delayed by your presence
14) Do not leave until you make your host aware
15) If you promise a visit, ensure you do not break the promise, and let the visit be at the specified time. Let them know in advance if you will be running late

No matter who you are or your level, you should visit the people under you as the Prophet used to do to his companions.

From the ways of the Muslims is that the visitor should be presented with something, even if it is as small as water. The visitor should accept the present with love and not reject it by way of pitying the host's situation. The visitor should also make a lot of Du'a for the visited.

It is recommended that people have a dedicated place for prayer in the home. Note that when you want to please Allah, do so with a worship that He has approved, not what you invent by yourself. This is called a Bid'ah. It will be rejected.

A Muslim should not be dressing in an apparel known with adherents of a particular religion e.g. the white garments of the white-garment churches.

From a rights of the husband is that the wife should not bring someone into the house that the husband does not like. Likewise, she should not visit a place the husband does not like. And she should visit genuinely, not simply for carrying tales or backbiting, but only after the husband's permission.

When a husband returns from a journey, he should send a notice in advance before appearing at home. From his (peace be upon him) ways is that he lets hiss wives know of his presence, then he goes to the mosque first, before entering the house.

Assalam Alaykum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuhu.
