The Students Union of the College of Agriculture and Animal Science, Wurno, has completed the transition between the outgoing EXCO and the newly elected EXCO at the College Hall.
The outgoing EXCO President thanked Almighty God for guiding them throughout their tenure and enabling them to complete it successfully. He also expressed appreciation to the College Management for providing a conducive environment for learning and character development.
In his remarks, the Provost represented by the Registrar congratulated the students on successfully completing their examinations. He encouraged the graduates to apply the knowledge they have acquired to become job creators rather than job seekers.
Additionally, Certificates of Service were presented to the outgoing EXCO members, while Certificates of Return were issued to the newly elected EXCO members.

They are making great efforts in the examination halls to demonstrate their knowledge and abilities. The management wishes all students success and excellent results in their examinations.

Students Engage in Practical Training on Poultry Production at CAAS Wurno
Students from the Department of Animal Health and Production at the College of Agriculture and Animal Science, Wurno, today embarked on a practical training session focused on poultry production and feed formulation.
This initiative, driven by the College Management, is part of ongoing efforts to ensure that students graduate with hands on skills that can empower them to become self-reliant and entrepreneurial in the agricultural sector.
During the session, students were introduced to key aspects of feed meal selection and formulation, including:
Identification of locally available feed ingredients
Balancing nutritional requirements for different poultry types
Cost effective feed production techniques
Proper feed mixing and storage practices
Such practical experiences are vital in preparing students not just for employment, but to become job creators in their communities. By gaining this kind of applied knowledge, students can confidently venture into poultry farming, feed production, and other agribusiness opportunities after graduation.
The College continues to prioritize practical learning as a core component of its academic programs, ensuring that graduates are well-equipped for real world challenges in the animal health and production industry.
