All thanks to God. 2026 Edition of the Sokoto Kids Cup began on a very bright note of U.C.S. junior football team, as the school team won her first match 1_0 against the physically fit Scholars International Academy, Sokoto.
The first half ended 0_0 with our boys pressing hard, but, could not find the back of the net. Yusuf Nawait became the star boy at the middle, displaying raw soccer skills which caught the attention of the fans. At the second half, the technical crew made a tactical change which gave the team more power , yet, the attack line lead by the team's captain, Naziru Abubakar kept missing clinical chances which got Nawait provoked.
But, as God will have it, 3 minutes to the end of the regulation time, ABDULMALIK AMINU ALIYU struck with a BALLISTIC THUNDERBOLT shot from half field which resulted in the lone goal victory.....
The fans really appreciated the quality play displayed by the team.

*Success FC 2 – 1 Unity Comprehensive School*

As expected, this was a cracker. Both teams are known for high pressing and quick attacking play.

Success FC controlled the midfield with sharp passing combinations, while Unity kept pressing high and creating problems. Sadiq, aka “Planner,” broke the deadlock with a brilliant strike. Doya made it 2-0 for Success with another well-taken goal as the pressure mounted.

Unity regrouped, and Mode and Khalifa led a strong response with some excellent play. Their pressure paid off with a goal to make it 2-1. Both sides created more chances late on, but none were converted.
Final score: Success FC 2 – 1 Unity Comprehensive School.

The tournament is officially underway.😊💪🫡
