π’π WELCOME TO OPEN HOUSE DAY! ππ’
π "Every Child's Success Story Becomes Stronger When Parents Are Part of the Journey."
Today, we warmly welcome our esteemed parents and guardians to a special day of connection, engagement, and shared purpose.
Open House Day is more than an opportunity to visit the school; it is a celebration of the invaluable partnership between parents and educators in shaping the future of our children.
As we open our classrooms and share your child's progress, we also open the door to meaningful conversations, deeper understanding, and stronger collaboration.
Education thrives when school and home work together. While teachers provide guidance in the classroom, parents provide encouragement at home. Together, we create an environment where children are empowered to learn, grow, and excel.
Today is an opportunity to:
β¨ Gain deeper insight into your child's academic journey
β¨ Celebrate achievements and identify opportunities for growth
β¨ Engage with teachers and strengthen communication
β¨ Reaffirm our shared commitment to raising responsible, confident, and successful learners
Dear Parents, your presence today sends a powerful message to your child:
"Your education matters. Your growth matters. You matter."
At International Junior and High Schools, Sapele, we remain committed to nurturing not only academic excellence but also character, leadership, discipline, and lifelong values.
As we interact throughout the day, may new ideas be shared, stronger bonds be formed, and greater heights be envisioned for every child entrusted to our care.
Thank you for partnering with us, believing in our vision, and investing in the future of your children.
Together, we continue to build a community where excellence is cultivated, character is developed, and greatness is inspired.
π Welcome once again, and may you have a productive and rewarding Open House experience.

π TOPIC: PEER PRESSURE π I Corinthians 15:33
One wrong friend can destroy what years of good training have built.
Many young people do not fail because they lack intelligence, talent, or potential. They fail because they allow the wrong voices, wrong influences, and wrong friendships to shape their decisions.
As we conclude this week's focus, one truth stands clearβthe company you keep has the power to shape the person you become.
The people you walk with today can determine the places you arrive at tomorrow. Every friendship is an influence. Every influence is a force. And every force is taking you somewhere.
The Bible says in I Corinthians 15:33:
"Do not be misled: 'Bad company corrupts good character.'"
This reminds us that our friends have a powerful influence on our attitudes, decisions, habits, and future. No matter how intelligent, talented, or well-trained a person may be, the wrong company can slowly destroy good values, noble dreams, and a bright future.
π Peer pressure is one of the greatest influences in the life of a young person.
It rarely begins with a major decision. Most times, it starts with small compromises, a desire to fit in, fear of rejection, or the pressure to be accepted by others.
What you repeatedly allow others to influence today can eventually shape your habits, character, and future.
That is why every student must learn to think independently, stand for what is right, and choose friends whose influence leads to growth rather than regret.
π₯ Peer pressure is choosing popularity over principles.
π₯ Peer pressure is doing what you know is wrong because others are doing it.
π₯ Peer pressure is following the crowd instead of following what is right.
π₯ Peer pressure is allowing others to decide your values and direction.
True friends do not lead you into trouble. True friends do not encourage dishonesty. True friends do not push you away from your goals.
Good friends inspire you to do better. Good friends encourage hard work and discipline. Good friends help you become the best version of yourself.
Great students choose their friends wisely. Great leaders are careful about the influences they allow into their lives. Great futures are built by people who surround themselves with the right company.
This week has reminded us that every friendship is either building your future or weakening it. The people around you today can influence where you will be tomorrow.
π HOW TO OVERCOME NEGATIVE PEER PRESSURE:
β
Choose friends who encourage good character
β
Be confident enough to say "No" when necessary
β
Stand for what is right even when you stand alone
β
Avoid people who constantly pressure you into wrong choices β
Surround yourself with positive, focused, and purpose-driven individuals
β¨ The company you keep today can determine the future you experience tomorrow. β¨
π REFLECTION: Are my friends helping me become a better person, or are they pulling me away from my goals and values?
π PRAYER: Lord, give me wisdom to choose my friends carefully. Help me to resist negative influences and stand firm in what is right. Surround me with people who will encourage me to grow in character, wisdom, and purpose. Amen.
π Choose friends who challenge you to grow, inspire you to succeed, and encourage you to do what is right. Your future is too valuable to be placed in the hands of the wrong company. π
π₯ CHOOSE YOUR FRIENDS WISELY. YOUR FUTURE DEPENDS ON IT. π₯
