So the first approach we will look at tonight is
*The Friend Approach*
There's nothing wrong in you befriending your clients.
It gives them the room to relate with you on a more personal level.
This profession is a very sensitive one
We work with children and we emit lots of emotions towards them
Just as we show extreme love and care to the children in our care, it is also important that you befriend those paying their bills
However, there's a limit to this approach
You have to know and set your boundaries
One thing you should have in mind is that eventhough you have to befriend them because they are your client
You should also know that they are not your *Friends*
They are not the people you gist with everyone they come to drop off or pick up
You need to draw the lines.
You do not have business visiting at homes except for exceptional occasions(not compulsory though) With this friend approach you are able to reach out and speak to them freely without they feeling you are proud or you have no heart
All you just have to do is to make sure that it won't go beyond the boundaries you already set
*The business approach*
While you are befriending them, don't forget you are also in business
You have bills to pay
You have staff to protect
And you have a business to run
Run it with all business mindset
When it's time to demand for fees
Make sure you do it with all boldness and without fear
One thing I actually want to correct is you having to fear anytime you want to collect your fee simply because you don't want them to withdraw their children from your school
To eradicate this fear, make sure you are
1. Running standard school
2. Giving them the worth of what they are paying
3. Bringing something unique to the table
4. Something they can rarely get in another school
Create that atmosphere where they won't have any choice than to be with you
So go back and check your unique selling point again. You don't have to answer me here though

To those that are resuming next week
And to those who do not know when you are resuming
Don't stop your preparations
As you have more time to put everything in place So again, there are things to put in place as you prepare
1. Plan your space
2. Put all resumption measures in place
3. Get your books/workbooks ready
5. Call your parents
6. Get your teachers to plan their work ahead of time
7. Let your environment be clean and safe
And most importantly
8. Engage your policies especially your fees.
*IQ , EQ , SQ , AQ*
....According to psychologists, there are four types of intelligence:
1) Intelligence Quotient 0(IQ)
2) Emotional Quotient (EQ)
3) Social Quotient (SQ)
4) Adversity Quotient (AQ)
*1. Intelligence Quotient (IQ):* this is the measure of your comprehension ability", solve maths; memorize things and recall subject matters.
*2. Emotional Quotient (EQ):* this is the measure of your ability to maintain peace with others; keep to time; be responsible; be honest; respect boundaries; be humble, genuine and considerate.
*3. Social Quotient (SQ):*
This is the measure of your ability to build a network of friends and maintain it over a long period of time.
*People that have higher EQ and SQ tend to go farther in life than those with high IQ but low EQ and SQ. Most schools capitalize in improving IQ level while EQ and SQ are played down.*
A man of high IQ can end up being employed by a man of high EQ and SQ even though he has an average IQ.
*Your EQ represents your character; your SQ represents your charisma. Give in to habits that will improve these three Qs but more especially your EQ and SQ.*
EQ and SQ make one manage better than the other.
Pls don't teach children only to have higher IQ , but also to have higher EQ and SQ.
Now there is a 4th one :
A new paradigm
*4. The Adversity Quotient (AQ):*
The measure of your ability to go through a rough patch in life and come out without losing your mind.
AQ determines who will give up in face of troubles and may abandon their families.
*To parents*:
Expose children to other areas of life than academic. They should adore manual work (never use work as a form of punishment), sport and art .
Develop their EQ, SQ and AQ. They should become multifaceted human beings able to do things independently of the parents.
