URGENT APPEAL FOR SPONSORSHIP: LIVE FACEBOOK COVERAGE OF THE ANNUAL YOBE STATE QUR'AN RECITATION COMPETITION

The Management of Yobe Musabaƙa TV deeply regrets to inform our esteemed audience and the general public that we are facing severe financial constraints regarding the live coverage and broadcast of this year’s Annual Qur’an Recitation Competition, scheduled to commence tomorrow, Friday.

Our plan is to bring full LIVE streaming on Facebook covering both the Male and Female categories of the competition, ensuring that thousands of Qur'an lovers locally and across the globe can participate in and benefit from this blessed event in real-time.

Unfortunately, our dedicated crew and technical team are currently struggling under extremely difficult operational conditions—lacking even basic transportation allowances and key logistics required to sustain a continuous live broadcast for both sessions.

Despite these hurdles, our determination to propagate the Holy Qur'an remains firm. We humbly call upon generous individuals, philanthropic bodies, business owners, and well-wishers within the Muslim Ummah to urgently step in and sponsor this noble project.
Your timely support will directly cover our crew’s transport, live streaming data, production logistics, and technical overheads, while offering you an opportunity for Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous reward) and wide visibility among our Facebook audience.

To offer support or sponsor the broadcast, please reach out immediately via:

May Almighty Allah reward your generosity and bless your earnings as you support the noble cause of the Holy Qur'an.

Yobe State Qur'anic Recitation Competition Set to Kick Off September 25

DAMATURU, NIGERIA — The Yobe State Annual Quranic Recitation Competition (Musabaƙa) is officially scheduled to commence on September 25, 2026, running through September 30, 2026.

In an exclusive interview with Yobe Musabaƙa TV, the State Coordinator for the competition, Malam Abba Ramat, confirmed the official dates and provided key updates regarding logistics and competition categories for this year’s event.

According to Malam Abba Ramat, participants and officials are expected to arrive in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital, on September 24, ahead of the commencement of the competition.

Venue and Accommodation for Contestants
The Federal Polytechnic, Damaturu, has been designated to host the contestants. The institution will provide the recitation halls—with separate venues arranged for male and female participants—as well as accommodation facilities for all the contestants throughout the duration of the event.

Reintroduction of 2 Hizb and 10 Hizb Categories
This year’s edition marks a significant update to the competition format with the reintroduction of the 2 Hizb and 10 Hizb with Tangeem (melodic recitation) categories. Although these categories were previously part of the competition, they had been suspended at the state level over the past three years due to specific administrative and logistical reasons. Their return is expected to broaden participation and encourage young reciters across the state.
