Bright Future Academy, Potiskum, hereby invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Tahfeez Teacher.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Sound knowledge and proven competence in Qur’anic memorization (Tahfeez)
Ability to teach Qur’an with correct Tajweed and proper pronunciation.

Possession of good moral character and exemplary conduct.

Previous teaching experience will be an added advantage.

GOVERNOR BUNI MEETS SECURITY CHIEFS OVER REOPENING OF SCHOOLS.

His Excellency, the executive Governor of yobe state (Dr) Mai Mala Buni has today met with the heads of security agencies, traditional rulers and heads of education sector to deliberate on the safe schools policy and possible reopening of schools which were closed temporarily to prevent attacks on the schools.

The meeting took place at the conference hall of Government House Damaturu. The meeting was convened and chaired by the Deputy Governor, Hon Idi Barde Gubana ( Wazirin Fune) who stood in for the Governor.

In his opening remarks, the Governor noted that, the meeting was summoned to discuss modalities for the reopening of schools as directed by the Federal government across the country. It could be recalled that the schools were earlier shut down over the security threats.

He assured parents, guardians, and the general public that safety, welfare and well-being of students remains a top priority to the Government " we will continue to work closely with the relevant security agencies, community leaders and education stakeholders to sustain stability in the state" the Governor added.

This administration according to the Governor, recognises education as a critical pillar for peace and national development. Therefore we will intensify effort to forestall any security threats to thier academic activities.

After the deliberation, the Deputy Governor directed the commissioner ministry of basic and secondary education, Associate prof. Abba Adam Idris, to brief journalists on the outcome of the meeting.

The commissioner explained that all schools will be reopened on monday - 5th January - 2026. Arrangement has been concluded for providing security to all schools with the support and cooperation of school management, parents and guardians among other stakeholders.
