A SHORT NOTE ON DISCIPLINE.

Although discipline challenges the school to enforce obedience, orderly conduct of pupils/students as well as motivate them to take responsibilities for their actions, the home must join hands and interact with the child in such a manner that disciplined behaviors in the child becomes an automatic, natural attribute of him. Discipline, therefore like charity begins at home. It goes to school to get reinforced and returns to society to shed its light. A disciplined child-man is a priceless gem in any society.
A disciplined child for example speaks politely and acts with consideration and courtesy, not necessarily out of fear of punishment, but because he believes it is right to be good and to do good. A child who is endowed with these qualities is clearly more receptive to the academic education for which we are primarily responsible. Parents are therefore encouraged to play their own part towards positive character formation of the children.
