This is an appreciation post to all dedicated mothers.
I won't talk about how mothers carry babies in their wombs for 9 months and all.
Today, I want to appreciate them for always waking up to prepare food for their children.
Having to think out the different kinds of food for different days is quite a task if you ask me, especially for mothers that have children still going to school.
"what will they eat in the morning, then take to school?
" what will they eat when they come back from school?"
This continues from Monday to Friday and they make sure the food is balanced for the children's health.
It's not easy. Kudos to all the mummies that are dedicated to the welfare of their children. You will reap the fruits of your labour, your children will not disappoint you🙏🏽

IS YOUR CHILD AVOIDING READING? COME CLOSER...
A child who avoids reading may be struggling silently. Watch him/her carefully. Avoidance is often a sign and should not be ignored.
It may be a confidence problem, a sound or blending problem... whatever it is, check closely and find out, so you know the necessary steps to take in order to help them.
I hope you had a great day.
Thank God it's Friday! 💃

Dear Parents, reading at home does not have to be long, 10 minutes daily can make a huge difference.
Instead of long hours reading in one day and no reading for so many days, please let them read for some minutes everyday. Consistency is more important than long, irregular sessions.
Is your child/ward struggling to read?

"So, we all have fathers that gave birth to us right?"
And my children chorused 'No! It's mothers!
Oops! My bad!😆

Phonics is not “too much” for young children like some people think.
In fact, it makes reading easier because when children understand sounds, words become less scary to them and they easily blend and read. That’s how we build confident readers, Phonics first 😊

Dear parents,
Listen attentively to whatever your children want to tell you. No matter what.
If you don't eagerly listen to the little things when they are little, they won't tell you the big stuff when they are big because to them, all of it has always been big stuff.
Whether it's about an imaginary ant 🐜 that bit them or about things they are trying to do but not getting properly. Please listen to them, not just listening, but attentively.
Have discussions with them often and be actively involved. Bond with your child.
Good morning from your favourite Fine Slim Teacher 🥰

I told my children to copy their notes fast so that I can write the next one on the board, and this boy was doing 'write small, play small'
His classmates told him "write, Miss Pleasure will clean the board"
He told them "She will not clean it, I'm still writing"
I didn't talk to them o, I finished what I was doing first. When I cleaned the board, it was like a movie to him 😂
It was just him remaining so I gave him someone's note to copy from.
Children of these days are daring, honestly.

Teaching children has taught me that patience changes everything.
Sometimes what a child needs is not pressure, just patience and the right support 😊
