At MACJAMES factory today, November 07, 2025, the Manager presented the Industrial Work Experience and Skills Acquisition discharge letter to the student of Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria who just concluded her six months Internship and Skills Acquisition programme at MACJAMES.

She was trained on manufacturing of selected specialty chemicals for personal care, household and industries.
With this, MACJAMES has trained over 43 tertiary institutions' students as Industrial attachees/trainees and still counting. This also makes it over 12,510 offline/online trainees from 5 countries till date. This is part of our contribution to skills development and in helping to close the skills gap for the present and future of the Personal Care and specialty chemicals industry including Research & Development in this area in Nigeria and Africa.

ECO-FRIENDLY MULTISURFACE DEGREASER/CLEANER THAT MEETS THE NEEDS WITH INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS AND AWARDS.

MACJAMES® MMDC-11 - MULTISURFACE DEGREASER/CLEANER (Approved by: NAFDAC and NUPRC/HQ/HSE.3/03/24/229) in use by national and multinational companies in Africa.

MACJAMES® MMDC-11 is an eco-friendly surface-active emulsifying, water-based and non-acidic degreaser and cleaner. It emulsifies grease, oil, rust, heavy dirt, carbon deposits, grime, slag, sludge, mud, scales, others alike, with it and cleanses them from the various washable surfaces (metal, plastic, wood, concrete, rubber, PVC, etc) without deforming the substrates, harming users and the environment. It is produced using refined chemical raw materials and is biodegradable. It is unique in that it does not contain solvent and petroleum distillates that imposes health and environmental hazard.

It has been confirmed in car/automotive engine washing, cleaning of oil tanks and oil storage containers, sewage tanks flushing, heat exchanger cleaning, engine rooms and mechanical workshops and degreasing metals before painting, among others and solves the problems of using many degreasers for different surfaces/substrates.

MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET (MSDS) AND SAFE HANDLING OF CHEMICALS (SHOC)
A Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) (also known as PSDS (Product safety data sheet or now Safety Data Sheet (SDS)) is a form of data regarding the properties of a particular substance. An important component of product stewardship and workplace safety, it is intended to provide workers and emergency personnel with procedures for handling or working with that substance in a safe manner, and includes information such as physical data (melting point, boiling point, flash point, etc.), toxicity, health effects, first aid, reactivity, storage, disposal, protective equipment, and spill-handling procedures.

MSDS formats can vary from source to source within a country depending on national requirements.
MSDS (material safety data sheets) are a widely used system for cataloging information on chemicals, chemical compounds, and chemical mixtures. MSDS information may include instructions for the safe use and potential hazards associated with a particular material or product. These data sheets can be found anywhere where chemicals are being used.

There is also a duty to properly label substances on the basis of physico-chemical, health and/or environmental risk. Labels can include hazard symbols such as the European Union standard black diagonal cross on an orange background, used to denote a harmful substance.

An MSDS for a substance is not primarily intended for use by the general consumer, focusing instead on the hazards of working with the material in an occupational setting.
In some jurisdictions the MSDS is required to state the chemical's risks, safety, and effect on the environment.

At MACJAMES factory, June 09, 2025, we accepted a Chemical Engineering student from the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria for her six months Internship and Skills Acquisition programme. She was presented with her acceptance and placement letter.
She will be trained in formulations, quality check, manufacturing, etc of selected Eco-friendly specialty chemical products for personal care, household and industrial uses during his training.
With this, MACJAMES will be training over 43 tertiary institutions' students as Industrial Attachees/trainees from 12 tertiary institutions in Nigeria and still counting. This also makes it over 12,510 offline/online trainees from 5 countries till date. This is part of our contribution to skills development and helping to close the skills gap for the present and future of the specialty chemical industry in Nigeria and Africa.
