SELF-GOVERNANCE

“The locusts have no king, yet they all advance in ranks.” (Proverbs 30:27).

For you to govern others you should first of all govern yourself. If you are not self-governed, there is no way you can govern others.

Three things we should learn from the locust:

1. They have nobody to encourage them; they encourage themselves.

2. They were self-disciplined; they disciplined themselves to walk in ranks, although nobody to direct them.

3. They were self-focud; they traveled far undistracted until they get to their destination to accomplish their target.

For a successful Christian leadership, the Word of God and the Holy Spirit can never be ignored. Any attempt to ignore these Personalities will cause one to fall into the pit of naivety.

THE VITAL THREE

"And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity." (1 Corinthians 13:13 - KJV)

Faith, hope, and charity or love are very essential in our walk with our Lord Jesus Christ. Faith makes us believe in the existence of God who gave us His Son. By hope we are expectant of the soon coming of Jesus Christ. Love gives us the ability to share God’s love with others.

Without faith it is impossible to please God, Hebrews 11:6. Without hope all expectations are destroyed. Without love or charity we cannot even share the gospel. The greatest of these is love because God is love; God is neither faith nor hope. If God is above all then His nature, love, is greater than faith and hope.

WHAT THE WORD OF GOD DOES FOR US:
1. SAVES US AND GIVES US SPIRITUAL REBIRTH.
2. GIVES US FAITH.
3. GIVES US TRUTH
4. GIVES US WISDOM AND STRENGTH.

God has deposited something worth celebrating in you. I cannot just imagine you die unfulfiled. So, I decree that you will never die to enrich the graveyard in the mighty name of Jesus.

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." (Rom. 12:2).

What is good may not be accepted and what is acceptable may not be perfect. So, strive for perfection. Walk toward the PERFECT MAN (Jesus Christ).

May the Almighty God give you the grace to do this, in Jesus name. Amen.

SAY AMEN TO THIS PRAYER

"Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost." (Romans 15:13 - KJV).

Saying Amen to prayer affirms your faith and brings it to pass. The Apostle Paul prayed for his converts in Rome and this prayer is relevant to us today. Any time you see such a good prayer in the Bible, read it aloud and say Amen to it and it will be done for you. “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit”. We are truly serving a God of hope who is capable of filling us with joy and peace.

Dearly beloved, keep believing in the promises of God and He will one day reward your hope just like He did for Abraham (Romans 4:18-19). May the LORD reward your hope in Jesus name. Amen.

You Are An Overcomer!

LABOUR FOR THE LORD

"He that laboureth laboureth for himself; for his mouth craveth it of him." (Proverbs 16:26 - KJV).

The English Standard Version quotes the opening Scripture as, “A worker's appetite works for him; his mouth urges him on.” Some people on this earth only labour for themselves; they have appetite to work all day so that they can spend the income on themselves. That is all that they live for; they ride in expensive cars, acquire luxurious mansions, and travel over the world just to make themselves happy.

Dear beloved, if you are born again, you do not live for yourself; you live for Christ Jesus. Develop an appetite for the Word of God and work for Christ. When you appear before the judgment seat of Christ, only the work which you did for Christ Jesus on earth will be recognize, Romans 14:10. Let your mouth proclaim the Word of God to bring souls to the salvation knowledge of Christ; be distinct from those in the world and stay focus on Jesus.

DO YOU WANT GOODNESS AND MERCY?

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever." (Psalms 23:6 - KJV).

The only creator of life is God Almighty. There are many secrets to a good life which He Has put in the Bible. Do you want goodness and mercy to follow you? There is a key to walking in the goodness and mercy of God; that key or secret is making the LORD your shepherd. When you make Jesus Christ master of your life and you remain committed to Him, His goodness and mercy will follow you. This goodness and mercy will continue all the days of your life and you shall dwell in the house of the LORD. There are some Christians who begin to compromise their commitment to the Lord when they are blessed of the Lord. Some do not go to church regularly anymore; others fail to study the Word of God and to pray. Before long they begin to go down and may fall if they do not repent.

Dearly beloved, hold onto Christ Jesus, never compromise and you will continue to enjoy His goodness and mercy. Hallelujah!
