Your native accent reveals your unique identity such as your culture, and it is normal, good, and should be celebrated. ๐

๐ฏIn some instances, it may have even led to losing a job, business opportunity, or networking chance.
๐ฏThe objective is to improve communication so that your colleagues, clients, friends, and audience can fully grasp your essential messages.

โ
Emulate Skilled Speakers: Observe effective speakers and attempt to replicate their pronunciation and intonation.
โ
Remain Committed and Optimistic: Keep a positive mindset throughout your improvement journey.
๐ฏConsider Partnering with a Coach: Working alongside a coach who specializes in sounds, pronunciation, and intonation can accelerate your accent-reduction progress.
๐ฏ By obtaining a copy of my eBook, you will also receive access to my complimentary coaching sessions.

Listening is one Communication virtue that all leaders or anyone in position of authority should cultivate.
Listening is necessary in order to give 'the led' the feedback, support and attention they need to be successful.
You need to make a true effort to listen when they speak. Listening is more than being silent, you also need to ask the right questions.
Be open to feedbacks including non verbal ones and have a positive attitude about the feedbacks and use them to make adjustments that will benefit every one.

CHANGE IS INEVITABLE
As you desire to take your organisation/ School to greater heights ,or achieve that vision, change is inevitable.
However change could be resisted. It could be tough at the beginning or seem impossible.
Below are some key points I shared in a seminar for leaders organised by Edcom on facts to effect change.
EFFECT CHANGE
1. Help others to succeed : Giving is always more satisfying than receiving .You need to be generous and make sure your team can share organisation's success as well as grow personally and professionally with your guidance.
2. Direction : Great leaders know where they are going and how they are going there. They convey their mission clearly to followers and possess unwavering drive that keeps them on track to their goals.
3. Servant and service : As a leader, you have more resources at your disposal than average person, share your resources with your team. The best leaders act as servants by enabling their team to be great.
4. Challenge the process : Smart leaders know how to identify bottle necks and make improvements.
" If you really want the key to success , start by asking questions that everyone avoids" - Oluchi Amaebite
I hope this helps as you round off the term and make reviews, then plan to make those needful changes

She is a good girl.
They will go to the market.
************
In Spoken English for the above ,
What's he doing ?
She's a good girl.

Contracted forms are used in Spoken English for fluidity and some measure of speed.

Unlock Your Students' Leadership Potentials
Guiding your students for leadership through role assignment cannot be overemphasize. It is at this stage of their lives they are most prepared to imbibe right values relevant for their future.
In class role assignment, span through activities and discover responsibilities that could be relinquished to students like organisation, arranging of items, class representative or governor, the list is endless.
In doing this involve the less responsive,non- responsive and very responsive students. Most times educators prefer to involve only responsive students, and this worsens the situation of the less responsive and non- responsive students
Having assigned roles to them, ensure you take them through the procedures of performance and consequences for non- performance of their various responsibilities. By this they will imbibe responsible leadership and accountability
Find out the challenges each student leader is facing towards role accomplishments, then discuss with them ways to make it better. Allow them to make their own suggestions too.
For a very large class assign assistance to each and map out clear roles to avoid confusion and usurpation.
Involve each student, you could even make roles like class governor, commandant or reps a monthly affair.
Rotate roles to avoid absolute power and monotony. Role rotation will also help the students to imbibe many leadership skill and make them versatile.
In all this guide and supervise them and appraise them.
Your students class room and you will become better
Have a nice time working with your students.
