NEWS FLASH !!!!!!
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐏𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐚-𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧!
Two of our brilliant young minds, Master Ben Onuoha and Master Durfa Dodo took on the -Ching Moneybee Competition, a financial literacy program sponsored by Junior Achievement Nigeria, a global nonprofit organization that inspires and prepares young people for success, making history for The Play Pen School and Rivers State!
The competition is designed for pupils in primary two to six, to instill money management concepts such as Earn, Save, Spend, and Donate in their learning curriculum through engaging lessons and animated videos. The program not only emphasizes economic and social studies content, but also focuses on finance, mathematics, planning, and analytical skills.
🥇 1st Place in Rivers State – Our champions outperformed their peers at the state level, securing the top spot and the honor of representing Rivers at the national stage.
🇳🇬 National Finalists
With over 25 thousand contestants across Nigeria, they successfully made it to the national level, emerging as one of the final 8 contestants. They stood tall, competing with the best from across Nigeria and Lagos State in the final, showcasing incredible skill, intelligence, and determination. Though victory at the national level eluded us this time as we came 2nd, we remain immensely proud of their outstanding achievement!
This is only the beginning! The Play Pen continues to nurture excellence, preparing young minds for even greater heights. Kudos to our exceptional teachers Mrs. Nkiru Ogualu and Mrs. Sarah Okolie for their amazing support and diligent preparation.
