πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡Sights and sound from our Crestonville Elementary pupils participating in World Environmental Day Today

It is essential our pupils know that cleanliness is ensured at home, in school, in offices and our environment at large

Children learnt responsibility and dutifulness from engaging in these activities today

Let us ensure we allow children join in chores at home, taking responsibility for their siblings and overseeing tasks and errands

Our environment needs our care
How we treat it today will manifest the health and stability we enjoy tomorrow

Thank you, our dear parents for allowing our pupils to take part in this responsible activity today

World Environment Day 2024 with a focus on land restoration, desertification and drought resilience. Land restoration is a key pillar of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (2021-2030), a rallying call for the protection and revival of ecosystems all around the world, which is critical to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

We can all join forces to give nature a helping hand by acting today, making smart choices and raising our voice for restoration.

We cannot turn back time, but we can grow forests, green our cities, harvest rainwater and eat soil-friendly foods. We are the generation that can make peace with land

UNESCO is dedicating the International Day of Education celebrated on 24 January 2024 to the crucial role education and teachers play in countering hate speech, a phenomenon which has snowballed in recent years with the use of social media, damaging the fabric of our societies.

The world is seeing a surge of violent conflicts paralleled by an alarming rise of discrimination, racism, xenophobia, and hate speech. The impact of this violence transcends any boundary based on geography, gender, race, religion, politics, offline and online. An active commitment to peace is more urgent today than ever: Education is central to this endeavor, as underlined by the UNESCO Recommendation

Because if hatred starts with words, peace starts with education. What we learn changes how we view the world and influences how we treat others. Education must therefore be at the heart of our efforts to achieve and maintain world peace.
