The main focus of UX is to get the psychology right. According to research, to be able to do this, mobile applications should be addicting. This addiction can be achieved through psychology and state-of-the-art UX patterns.

For instance, Instagram immediately overtook Facebook in popularity because the founders of Instagram got the psychology right. Instagram was able to achieve this success by reducing the clutter and feature bloat of Facebook. Users always follow the path of least resistance. Meaning that an average application user would always find it more convenient to use apps that have easy functions and information architecture. By making Instagram simpler, direct and faster the path of least resistance becomes the default path.

Instagram has a UX pattern called “Autoplay” meaning if you do nothing, Instagram keeps loading new content. The path of least resistance - doing nothing - Leads to using Instagram more not less. This UX pattern is combined with the infinite scroll pattern. Meaning that whenever a user has had enough of watching a picture, he is just one downward swipe away from the next amazingly interesting image. This over time leads to higher app usage. I hope this is easy to understand because the highlight here is that UX is a critical part of any app’s success and user retention.

Every product is built to solve a problem, so before designing anything, it is fundamental to understand the underlying business model and the pain you want to solve for your customers.

The business model canvas framework above shows the key components of a fundamental business structure.

The First on the list is
🔸️Customer Segments: this involves the section of the market a business is going to serve

🔸️ Value Proposition: What unique value makes the business different from other competitors.

🔸️ Channels: How does the business intend to research its target audience

🔸️ Customer Relationships: What's the customer satisfaction structure

🔸️ Revenue Streams: How does the business intend to generate funds

🔸️Key Resources: Human Resource, Capital and general expenses

🔸️ key Activities: What will the business be doing daily to take them where they need to be

🔸️ Key Partners: Who and who are major stakeholders in the business.

🔸️Cost: What is the Average of running the business.

Beautiful designs alone do not translate to functional products. It is important to constantly bear functionality in mind.

Hi Fam! I read an article and I found some abbreviations, since we are all In this together, I decided to share them with you.

Before I started taking courses on UI/UX I usually used both terms interchangeably and I know most of us do too.

So what is 🔸️”UI?”

🔅 UI simply means - User Interface. It has everything to do with the fonts, colours, graphic design, backgrounds, buttons, stock photos e.t.c

Where as

🔅 UX means - User Experience. It is usually associated with psychology, human decision making, user research, personal, user stories, workflows, A/B testing, statistical evaluation and so on.

Another abbreviation I found is

🔅iteration - it means repetition of a process to give various perspectives.

In design, various perspectives of a design project are produced to help stakeholders make better informed decisions.

I also found another abbreviation called

🔅MVP - it means minimum viable product and last but not the least, I saw a term called

🔅Hybrid: This consists of multiple elements that are used to create a more economic, efficient and useful product.

Starting off the year with a decision to learn and become a professional UI/UX designer is one interesting experience that I would be happy to share.

Humans generally love it when you can tell them what to expect. Most affiliates make it impossible for people to make informed decisions through their contents.

So in today's post I want us to address how to write compelling affiliate product reviews.

Writing compelling affiliate product reviews is an art that can significantly impact your affiliate marketing success.

The beauty of these reviews is that they serve as powerful tools to engage your audience, build trust and drive conversions.

Start by documenting your personal experience: although you do not necessarily have to use a product to promote it, if you are to promote any product, then it should first start from your personal experience or opinion about the product.

Be authentic and honest. Highlight both the positive and negative aspects. Readers appreciate genuine feedback about a product before purchasing it.

The next thing you need to do is outline the product's benefits, show your expertise by explaining how this product solves a problem or fulfils a need for your audience. Your selling strategy should be to focus on the unique features that make your product different from the competitors.

Use concrete examples, real life situations and storytelling can make all the difference in selling out a product.

Humans love evidence, they like proof, they like to know that other people have tried a product and its working out for them before they can hop on the challenge.

That's why it is important to attach media files such as pictures, screenshots, testimonials and other proof of authenticity.

That's why today I would be teaching us on how to take it a step further with Affiliate marketing by building a website/landing page for your affiliate business.

Here are key steps to follow:

1. Have a plan: Even the bible tells us it is impossible to build a house (your business) without sitting down to count the cost.

What exactly do you hope to address or achieve with your website? Is it going to be the place where people just come to read about you or it will redirect them to your channel to watch previous lessons and take action or is it going to be introducing a webinar that will be used to up-sell them? What exactly do you want to do with your website?

2. Choose a domain and hosting: Register a domain name that reflects your business and choose a reliable web hosting provider that ensures fast loading times and relatable uptime.

3. Design and Layout: Create a visually appealing website with a clean and user-friendly design. Focus on intuitive navigation, mobile responsiveness, and optimised page speed.

4. Content Strategy: Develop a content strategy that provides value to your audience. Create high-quality content such as informative articles, product reviews, tutorials and engaging videos. Incorporate relevant keywords to improve search engines.

5. Search Engine Optimization: Implement on page and off page SEO techniques to improve your website's visibility in search engine results. Optimise meta tags, headings and Alt tags. Build quality backlinks through quest blogging and social media engagement.

Today I want us to look at something very crucial to your growth as an affiliate marketer which are essential strategies to maximise your affiliate earnings.

After you have selected the right product that resonates with your audience needs and interest, you have to understand that not everyone will buy from you at first, especially if you generated them through paid ads or facebook marketing.

Some of them will like to observe you for a while because of the whole internet fraud and how people have lost millions of naira in the online space so here are my strategies:

1. Building trust and credibility first, your audience has to know, like and trust you as a person before buying from you.

Now the question is, how do you build this trust? It's simple, by delivering value, ALWAYS
structure your content in such a way that it provides value to the audience.Selling all the time will make people hate you.

2. Don’t forget to add a call to action button: After creating your content, include a persuasive call to action button and strategically input your affiliate link,

For instance, if you create content on a product and you have carefully enlisted the benefits of the content, add your affiliate link.

If you're posting your content on a website, ensure that you add keywords and you properly understand the role of seo in your content ranking for effective results.

3. Don't be stuck at a particular promotion channel: If you naturally have a lot of people following you, that's great but if you wish to generate more leads especially organically then, optimise and spread your content to other social platforms.

You can also use Email marketing, Guest blogging and paid advertising to reach a wider audience and maximise your earning potential.

Marketing a weight loss product to me will be the most unproductive advert of a lifetime

because nothing in this world will currently make me buy such product. But just imagine someone promotes a product that says “ effective eye care techniques to reduce screen time effect on the eyes”

I will be the first person to buy that product because as a Techie and digital entrepreneur, I spend so much time on my laptop and cell phone, buying a product like this will help keep my eyes alive longer.

Why did I have to start with this illustration? It's simply because i want us to talk about selecting the right affiliate programs to promote:

There are so many factors to consider firstly, opt for programs that align with your niche and target audience.

Your target audience are those segments of the customer base that need what you're selling and are willing to pay to have them no matter the amount.

So look for products or services that are relevant and would genuinely benefit your audience.

Evaluate the commission structure and payout terms,

For instance, if you decide to become an affiliate or you're already an affiliate, you need to know how much you will get per sale you make.

Imagine promoting a product with a 2,000 naira bonus and another affiliate marketer is promoting a product with 15,000 naira commission, even if you sell just 2 of the 15k product you have made more money than the person promoting the 2k course even if they sell 10.

It is also important to do your research about the audience, the course and the creator, so you know what to tell your prospects when marketing the course to them.

Affiliate sites show you the number of orders a particular product has, this can also help you determine if it is a hot product to promote or not.
