ABOUT THE COURSE

This intensive, foundation level course covers the design, construction, and operation of pipeline systems. The focus is on pipeline routing, hydraulics, mechanical design, and construction for both onshore and offshore pipelines. The result of this course is cost-effective, safe and environmentally sound design, construction, inspection, operation, and maintenance of pipelines. Design problems and group projects are an integral part of this course.

This course is for anyone interested in gaining in-depth knowledge in on shore land and swamp pipeline construction.
Course provides guidelines to pipeline engineers in areas related to government regulatory fulfilment expectations, overview of procurement expectations for line pipe and ancillaries; industry code/standard compliance expectations with respect to established calculations/methodologies, in-depth overview in application of design documentation/drawing and local principles/methodologies in carrying out swamp and land pipeline construction up to pre-commissioning stage.
Participants at the end of this course will be able to gain competencies in cost-effectiveness, safety culture and environmentally friendly ex*****on strategies in installing onshore, land and swamp pipelines.

COD Energy Services invites you to enrol in our upcoming OIL AND GAS INSTRUMENTATION, CONTROL AND AUTOMATION SYSTEMS DESIGN SESSION. 10TH APRIL 2021
ABOUT THE COURSE

This course provides an overview of process systems instrumentation, and control strategies and configurations. The focus is on application and integration into the process and control of upstream and midstream oil and gas facilities. The material of the course is applicable to field production facilities, pipelines, gas plants, and offshore systems.
• Process systems operations and the key characteristics, and measurement needs, as well as

• Techniques to measure and control.

• Control modes and their applications, communications requirements, and the operator and

• Computer controller interface.

• Interrelationships between process, equipment, instruments and controls.

• Field (facility) control and monitoring systems such as pressure and level indicators and controllers.

• Field (facility) safety monitoring and response systems including SIS, HIPPS and emergency shutdown valves.

• System-wide considerations including communications, local control, remote control, and

• Data management and use.
Due to the COVID-19 protocol the session has been limited to 6 participants only, in compliance to NCDC social distancing guidelines. The session will run daily for 1 week from Saturday 20th to 27th March 2021. Classes will be from 9:30am to 5.30pm daily.
