FAITH TO FAITH DEVOTIONAL -Pastor Tibi Peters
Thursday 21st May 2026
TODAY'S BIBLE READING:1 Thessalonians 3
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: 1 Thessalonians 3:10 (NLT)
Night and day we pray earnestly for you, asking God to let us see you again to fill the gaps in your faith
TODAY'S TOPIC: FILL THE GAPS IN THE FAITH OF OTHERS.
How much of a difference does your presence in the life of others make? Are there believers anywhere who benefit from what you say or do? Adding value and touching lives should be typical of every believer in Christ. It is important to note that Paul was praying “night and day” for these brethren in Thessalonica. He wasn't just praying occasionally and casually for them; he was praying regularly and earnestly. The next observation is that he desired to see them again so he could fill the gaps in their faith. Let other believers around you benefit from your regular and earnest prayers. There are gaps you also can fill in the faith of many. The things God has taught you through his word, and the unique experiences or paths you have been through make you a valuable asset to other believers. Never take for granted how much your life can impact, inspire and influence others. Rise up today and fill the gaps in the faith of many around you. Most of the answers you are looking for will surface while you are helping fill the gaps in the faith of others. Filling the gaps for others will fill the gaps in your own faith too.
TODAY'S CONFESSION
It is typical of me to add value and touch lives around me. I rise today to fill the gaps in the faith of others. My life as a believer in Christ inspires, impacts and influences others.

TODAY'S BIBLE READING:1 Thessalonians 2
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: 1 Thessalonians 2:2(KJV)
But even after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much contention.
TODAY'S TOPIC: BE BOLD IN YOUR GOD WITH THE GOSPEL.
The embarrassments and sufferings of Paul did not stop him from preaching the gospel of Christ. Every form of discouragement thrown at him only made him more determined to preach the gospel. He was bold in God to proclaim the gospel of God in the midst of much contention. The little or much contention around you should not stop you from reaching people with the gospel; rise above the fear of embarrassment or rejection. Satanic resistance comes in various ways to hinder you from giving attention to the spreading of the gospel. You could suddenly get so caught up in several unending personal concerns that you don't even have time to remember your responsibility to preach the gospel. In the midst of pursuing a career, raising children or building a relationship, keep the spreading of the gospel in focus. Be bold in your God to preach and spread the gospel irrespective of the resistance or discouragement that you might face. Keep the gospel going no matter what.
TODAY'S CONFESSION
In the midst of all going on with me and around me, I will not neglect or abandon the spreading of the gospel. I am bold in my God to preach and push the gospel irrespective of the resistance or discouragement that I face.

TODAY'S BIBLE READING:2 Timothy 1
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: 2 Timothy 1:8 (AMP)
Do not blush or be ashamed then, to testify to and for our Lord, nor of me, a prisoner for His sake, but [with me] take your share of the suffering [to which the preaching] of the Gospel [may expose you, and do it] in the power of God.
TODAY'S TOPIC: DO NOT BLUSH OR BE ASHAMED
Our testimony of Christ is part of our suffering for the gospel. Salvation is a personal experience that makes us eligible to testify. Every believer has a salvation story ,this is your testimony. Your testimony is unique and very powerful. Today's scripture says “Do not blush or be ashamed to testify to and for our Lord”. When it comes to your testimony of Christ, no blushing and no shame. It is your share of the suffering of Christ. We are partakers of the sufferings of Christ through the preaching of the gospel. We should not be embarrassed to suffer for the sake of the gospel. Your testimony of Christ is always enabled by the power of God. The Power of God makes your testimony effective and also strengthens you to go through whatever challenges you might meet while doing it. God needs you to constantly and continuously testify of Christ to the unsaved around you. This is a responsibility not assigned to angels, the noble task of bearing the testimony of Christ is for the believer in Christ. You are already equipped for this responsibility-God has not given you the Spirit of cowardice or timidity, but of power, love and a sound mind. There is no reason whatsoever to be overwhelmed with shame, be emboldened to testify of Christ today. Do not blush or be ashamed of your testimony of Christ.
TODAY'S CONFESSION
I refuse to blush or be ashamed of my testimony of Christ. God has not given the spirit of cowardice, but of Power, love and a sound mind. My testimony of Christ is always enabled by the Power of God.

TODAY'S BIBLE READING:1 Timothy 6
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: 1 Timothy 6:17 (KJV)
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
TODAY'S TOPIC: TRUST IN THE LIVING GOD.
Our trust is in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. Most of us will never associate God with “enjoyment”,but there are things to enjoy in God. God wants us to enjoy the things he gives to us. He wants you to enjoy salvation, the infilling of the Holy Spirit and every other blessing. What makes all these more interesting is that he gives us “richly”.There is no insufficiency in God, He gives“abundantly”- more than enough. His love, forgiveness and blessings are more than enough for you. God bestows his “goodies” on us lavishly with no sense of lack or shortage. Your trust or dependence must be anchored on the consistency of his Character. Permit me to read out his credentials again. He is the “Living God” who “gives” us “abundantly” all things to “enjoy”. His current status is “Living” not “once lived”; He is Living and giving. Your trust in him must be considerate of his nature and his capacity. Concerning capacity, there is capacity to give “abundantly” which is sponsored by a nature that gives. Trust in him, not in things or earthly possessions. The spring in your step shouldn't be coming from the confidence you have in “real estate” or “stock” you hold in a profitable business endeavour. Your trust should remain in the Living God.
TODAY'S CONFESSION
My trust is in the Living God who gives me all things richly to enjoy. The spring in my step is not coming from my earthly possessions or credentials. Blood was shed for me and is still speaking for me.

TODAY'S BIBLE READING:1 Timothy 5
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: 1 Timothy 5:13 (AMP)
Moreover, as they go about from house to house, they learn to be idlers, and not only idlers, but gossips and busybodies, saying what they should not say and talking of things they should not mention.
TODAY'S TOPIC: IT IS UNSCRIPTURAL TO BE IDLE.
The scriptures don't only point you to what you should learn, it also brings your attention to habits or practices you should avoid or shun. Apostle Paul was addressing a situation in the Church pastored by Timothy that concerned handling of widows. It might not be any different from what could be going on today among some believers. They seem to be learning to be idlers, not only idlers but gossips and busybodies. Such practices were condemned in strong terms then and remains so even now. No believer in Christ should be idle or unengaged in productive endeavour. If you can't get a job, create one; ensure you are contributing positively to those around you. It is unscriptural to be idle or to be seen as an idler. At every point in your life you should be working or learning, if possible work and learn at the same time. Refuse to join the association of idlers, do not learn their ways. There are certain trivialities you will never have time for when you are engaged in productive ventures. What is your plan for today? You can make the next thirty days of your life the best thirty days ever. Apply yourself to productive endeavours.
TODAY'S CONFESSION
I am not an idler and refuse to join the association of idlers. The next thirty days are the best thirty days ever. I apply myself by the help of the Spirit of God to productive endeavours.

TODAY'S BIBLE READING:2 Thessalonians 3
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: 2 Thessalonians 3:11 (KJV)
For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
TODAY'S TOPIC: WALK ORDERLY.
There should be a concern about how we as believers ‘walk’. Our ‘walk’ is how we conduct our lives. The scriptures continuously emphasize the importance of good conduct. Good conduct on its own is not salvation, but salvation produces good conduct-a changed lifestyle. There are some believers in Paul's day who walked disorderly and refused to work at all. Some have also adopted this unscriptural conduct even in our day. The new living translation (NLT) says “Yet we hear that some of you are living idle lives, refusing to work and meddling in other people's business”.The scripture was outrightly addressing and correcting those living in laziness, refusing to work and wasting their time in gossip, meddling in other people's business. God's investments in you shouldn't be allowed to lie dormant, it should be put to good use. Salvation has changed your status from “consumer” to “producer”. You now have a contribution to make in your community through your ‘work’ or ‘job’.The New Testament frowns at lack of productivity and waste. Renew your thinking today; accept no excuse for idleness. Don't join the ‘working not at all’ crowd. It is defined as disorderly conduct. Salvation has brought order into your life.
TODAY'S CONFESSION
Salvation has brought order into my life. I refuse to join the “working not all” crowd.I am putting to good use the investments of God in me. I am a producer and not a consumer.

TODAY'S BIBLE READING:2 Thessalonians 2
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: 2 Thessalonians 2:15 (KJV)
Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle
TODAY'S TOPIC: HOLD THE TRADITIONS OF CHRIST.
Our scripture today does not speak of Jewish or Greek traditions taught to the brethren. It speaks of the traditions of Christ or what will might also refer to as New Testament traditions. The brethren had to be taught the traditions of Christ. I will define tradition here as a way of life of a group of people. There is a way of life for the people of God. Such traditions are communicated through teachings of scripture. The New Living Translation says “Keep a tight grip on what you have been taught”.These teachings can come to you orally, or in writing just as this devotional piece is coming to. The responsibility of receiving teachings and holding fast to them is yours. You should not be a forgetful hearer. The cure to “forget ful hearing” is “continuous hearing”. Hear the teachings again and again until you become what you are hearing. Sometimes the pe*******on of the word into your heart takes time, why this is so cannot be covered in this material. A new life was imparted to you at salvation ,but how to live the life has to be taught from scripture. Hold what you are taught. Hold the traditions of Christ.
TODAY'S CONFESSION
I have received a new life and a new way of living. I hold the traditions of Christ as I have been taught. I am not a forgetful hearer, I am a “continuous hearer”.

TODAY'S BIBLE READING:2 Thessalonians 1
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: 2 Thessalonians 1:12 (KJV)
That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
TODAY'S TOPIC: A SPIRIT INSPIRED PRAYER FOR YOU
There is a Spirit -inspired prayer for you today, that the name of the Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you. Most of the prayers you find in the Pauline epistles are God's expectations for every believer in Christ. Paul prayed for the Thessalonian Church what you should also pray for yourself. The focus here is that your life exemplifies and showcases the power vested in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Secondly ,that you also are glorified in him. Remember the scripture says he whom he did foreknow, he predestined. He who predestined, he called; he whom he called he justified and whom he justified, he also glorified. Thirdly, the prayer is that this glory should be according to the grace of God not according to your works. You ought to consciously meditate on this scriptures and pray them aloud for yourself. It is such a beautiful experience seeing the name of the Lord Jesus constantly glorified in you. I call this “ giving expression to Salvation”.Will you now take time and pray this scripture out aloud.
TODAY'S CONFESSION
I pray for the name of the Lord Jesus to be consistently glorified in me. My life exemplifies and showcases the power vested in the name of Jesus

TODAY'S BIBLE READING:1 Thessalonians 4
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: 1 Thessalonians 4:1 (KJV)
Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more.
TODAY'S TOPIC: HOW YE OUGHT TO WALK IN CHRIST
Salvation is an instantaneous experience, but spiritual maturity is a gradual, consistent and continuous process. There is no formula for instant spiritual maturity. Throughout the scriptures of the New Testament you find teachings and instructions to help believers develop spiritually. Spiritual maturity was never imparted, it was always patiently developed over a period of time. The brethren in Thessalonica were being exhorted on how they ought to walk and please God. They received from Paul teachings on how they “ought to” walk. The teaching ministry is very vital in the spiritual development of a believer in Christ. I have had the opportunity to interact with believers around the world who genuinely love the Lord, but are deficient in spiritual knowledge. Especially when they don't even know, that they don't know. They haven't been accurately taught “how they ought to walk” in Christ. If you are not deliberately taught “how you ought to walk”, you would live below God's expectations for you. Pray to be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. God will respond sometimes by sending teaching ministries/ministers or teaching materials your way. It is important that
you receive such ministries or ministers when God sends them. God wants you to know “how you ought to walk” in Christ.
TODAY'S CONFESSION
I receive the ministries and ministers God has sent to teach me “ how I ought” to walk in Christ. I yield to the process of spiritual maturity. God is working in me ,both to will and to do his good pleasure.

TODAY'S BIBLE READING:1 Thessalonians 1
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: 1 Thessalonians 1:5 (MSG)
When the Message we preached came to you, it wasn't just words. Something happened in you. The Holy Spirit put steel in your convictions. You paid careful attention to the way we lived among you,
TODAY'S TOPIC: THE MESSAGE IS NOT JUST WORDS
The message we bear are not just words. This gospel of Christ committed to our trust is full of life and power. This is the reason why it has such an effect on anyone who hears it. When the Thessalonians heard it, something happened in them. Even today the message has the same effect on anyone who hears it. Someone rightly said it either makes you glad or mad. The message does not have a neutral effect, that is why the response from the hearer is either positive or negative. Every believer must understand what exactly 'the' message is. You were not given “a” message, you were given “the” message. It is “the” message that has such an effect on people. The message is that Salvation is now available to all of mankind because of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. When you open your mouth to give the message, you are not just speaking empty words. You are releasing life into people. The Words are the shells that carry the substance of what is actually being communicated. This understanding changes why and how you preach the gospel of Christ. The Holy Spirit through the spoken words influences the hearers. The message we bear is more than words.
TODAY'S CONFESSION
I am carrier of life and Power. The message I bear is more than words. I am a custodian and a dispenser of the message of the gospel of Christ.

TODAY'S BIBLE READING:Ephesians4
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: Ephesians 4:32 (KJV)
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
TODAY'S TOPIC: YOU ARE FORGIVEN FOR CHRIST'S SAKE
There are no words enough to describe God's love for us, God's love is immeasurable. Long before we came on the scene, his love was already waiting for us. God's love was available long before it was needed. The death of Jesus on the cross was a demonstration of his love towards humanity. He already loved man long before he demonstrated it on the cross. Forgiveness is an act of Love. It is important to note that God for Christ's sake has forgiven you. God is not working on a program of forgiveness, neither is he about to develop a forgiveness project. He has already initiated a forgiveness plan through Christ Jesus. The forgiveness plan is currently valid and active for anyone that believes. Forgiveness is not an upcoming event, it is streaming 'live' from heaven towards us. We did not earn God's forgiveness by being remorseful, because forgiveness from God cannot be earned. Forgiveness is a gift of grace. You are not forgiven for your sake; you are forgiven for Christ's sake. Without the shedding of Christ's blood there would have been no forgiveness. Thanks be to God for the blood of Jesus, you are forgiven for Christ's sake.
TODAY'S CONFESSION
God loves me beyond words. I am forgiven my sins for Christ's sake. I have received the gift of forgiveness that was made possible by the blood of Jesus Christ. The Forgiveness plan is currently valid and active for me
