Learning a language forces vulnerability. You’re borrowing a voice that doesn’t fully feel like yours yet. You speak knowing you might be corrected, misunderstood, or even laughed at. And still, you speak. That’s courage.
Mistakes aren’t a side effect of language learning; they’re the pathway. Every mispronounced word, every awkward pause, every “sorry, let me try again” is proof that you’re showing up.
And showing up is harder than staying silent.

As we step into 2026, we invite you to pause, reflect, and set clear learning goals for the year ahead.
Language is more than words, it is memory, identity, and belonging. When we learn our language, we reconnect with our roots, our people, and our culture. We pass on stories, values, and pride to the next generation.
This year, choose to:
📌 Learn Ekpeye with intention
📌 Speak it with confidence
📌 Embrace your culture with pride
📌Stay connected to your roots
At Speak Ekpeye Fluently Language Initiative, we continue our work of teaching, and promoting the Ekpeye language through structured language classes, practice sessions, and community learning spaces.
Whether you are starting for the first time or returning to strengthen what you already know, 2026 is your year to grow.
Set your learning goals.
Show up consistently.
Speak your language.
Happy New Year from all of us at SEFLI 🎉
