The Real Reason For Christmas

Saturday, December 24th

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3).

Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. Christ, the Messiah came in the flesh; He came to live amongst us (and now in our hearts). Christianity is the divine life of Christ operative in a human person. To be a Christian means Christ has taken up His abode in your spirit; you’ve become God’s dwelling place; His living headquarters.

This is what Jesus made possible for us. He didn’t come just to die for our sins, but to give us the God-kind of life. God made us humans but wanted us to have His kind of life. His plan, according to the Scriptures, was that Jesus would be the one to give us that life, and that we should receive it through faith.

Jesus said “For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;” (John 5:26). 1 John 5:11-12 says, “And thisis the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” You’ve been called to the transcendent life in Christ. The life in you is immune to infection, because it’s divine; it’s the God-life. No wonder we’re called associates of the God-kind; partakers of the divine nature (2 Peter 1:4).

This is what humanity needs—the life of Christ. That life is imparted into the spirit of anyone who receives Christ Jesus as Lord. The natural man, in all his goodness and self-righteousness, is empty until he receives this glorious life of Christ. You can become a partaker of this supernatural life right now by asking Jesus to be the Lord of your life. That’s why Hecame: to give you eternal life and make you one with God; and that’s the reason for Christmas.

CONFESSION

The life of God is working in me; in every fiber of my being, in every cell of my blood and in every bone of my body. Therefore, I’m an overcomer, victorious and triumphant over sickness, disease, and the negative systems of this world. I reign in life by Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!

|| John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ||

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Adversity Brings Out The Best In You

=Adversity is a fact of life. You may not be able to control what happens to you, but you are completely responsible for your reaction to what happens to you.

=Adversity can make you a better person or a bitter person.

=Napoleon Hill said,
"Every adversity has within it the seed of equal or greater benefit."

=Great achievement comes out of a constant struggle and ceaseless battle to bring success from unfriendly surroundings.

=Helen Keller reiterated, "Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it."

= Adversity has a life span. Mike Leavitt commented, "There is a time in the life of every problem when it is big enough to see but small enough to solve."

= Breakdown can create a breakthrough.

=Things fall apart so things can fall together.

=Adversity is a way to measure the greatness of individuals.

=Martin Luther King, Jr, said, "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of adversity and controversy."

= Adversity makes a man. No matter the problem, we can choose to maintain a good attitude. That's what determines our success.

=What you do today in the moment of adversity and challenges will determine what you'll become tomorrow.

=Adversity is the recipe for creating lasting champions.

=Professor J. D. West. Advised, "Use adversity as a catalyst to success. Always look out for the silver lining behind each Nimbus cloud of despair or sorrow."

=Most great things are always born out of great groaning.

=Lucius Annaeus Seneca wrote, "Brave men rejoice in adversity, just as brave soldiers triumph in war."

= Adversities are the price of progress. The darkest moment can turn out to be the best.

=Madam Guyon said, "It is the fire of suffering that brings forth the gold of godliness."

=Horace added, Adversity reveals genius, prosperity conceals it."

=March through your adversity to success in your life endeavours.

=You will overcome your adversity if only you will depend upon God. He uses adversity to draw you closer to Himself.

=Don't let your problem take the lead. Put your hand in God's hand and dictate the direction of your life.

=If you are dedicated to success, then you must be committed to managing your bad experiences well.

=Remember, facing difficulties is inevitable. Learning from them is optional.

=William Penn will encourage you, "No pain, no palm; no thorns, no throne; no gall, no glory; no cross, no crown."

=Groaning may endure today but glory will come tomorrow."

To Your Ultimate Success, Congratulations!

It is the great business of every Christian to save souls. People complain that they do not know how to take hold of this matter. Why, the reason is plain enough; they have never studied it. They have never taken the proper pains to qualify themselves for the work.
