It's the last week of the first quarter of the year. How well have you done with your targets and goals?
Remember, the path to achieving your goals may not always be smooth. There may be obstacles and setbacks along the way, but don't let them discourage you. Instead, view them as opportunities to learn and grow, and use them as motivation to keep pushing forward.
With hard work, determination, and the right mindset, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
Have a wonderful week!

Reading is one of the most important skills every child can be taught. Not only does it help to expand knowledge and understanding, but it also helps to develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Reading is a lifelong skill that will benefit your kids in school and beyond the four walls of the classroom, and so our school library is stocked with books from seasoned children's authors. No surprise our children love and talk books.
A reading culture is truly an investment. You can be sure it pays!

Mental health is an important part of every child's overall well-being. Unfortunately, many children in our society suffer from mental health issues, such as depression, low self esteem, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other mental health disorders. It is important to be aware of the signs and symptoms of mental health issues in our kids so we can provide them with the help they need.
Talk to your child and encourage them to express their feelings, as well as being willing to listen. Reassure your child that you are there for them and use wholesome words on them no matter what. By doing these, you will be creating an open and accepting environment where they can thrive.
Last Friday, our kids enlightened us on the importance of children's mental health and how positive words can boost a child's academic performance. Their presentation featured a drama piece and beautiful music performance to spice up the event.

No doubt goal setting is way easier than goal getting. The act of following through to achieve one's goal is where the real work lies.
After identifying what goals you have to strike, the next thing you should do is to write down action plans to take towards achieving these goals. This involves breaking your goals into smaller units that will eventually result to the big win.
For example, a student whose goal is to come out with an A grade at the end of the term will create an action plan to hit the A mark in his subjects. To achieve this, he will create a plan to study hard, attend classes and complete all class projects. The whole action plan is what eventually leads to the big goal realization.
If you haven't drawn your action plan for your goals, you can begin by taking out a plain sheet and itemising your action plan for your short, middle and long term goals.
Do have a productive week ahead!

It's Monday again and that day of the week when targets are set and plans are drawn.
While you're in the business of setting goals, be it for the day, the week, or even the year, it's important you make use of the SMART tool. SMART is an acronym for effectively setting goals that will yield results.
S represents Specific.
M represents Measurable.
A represents Achievable.
R represents Realistic.
T represents Time bound.
An effective use of these elements surely sets you on the right track to succeed.
Have a wonderful week ahead!

As the new year settles with all the excitement that follows, it is best to ensure that we make proper planning and goal setting to have a better year than the last.
The first step toward achieving this is seeking clarity of what you want exactly. Set goals that are in line with what you want to achieve by the end of 2023. Ensure that these goals are realistic and make a firm decision to strike them.
