While in university, buy books. Buy and read them.

I can't believe this book has suddenly become important for my book "Mastering Oral English for WAEC and JAMB" after many years of leaving the university.

Don't just photocopy, buy as many as you can afford. You may need them tomorrow.

As we can see, the jinx that English is the most difficult subject in JAMB no longer holds sway.

You start learning English from, or even before - Nursery school. From Nursery school onward, you are taught English every day. So why should it still be considered the most difficult subject in JAMB?

Let me tell you why many students perform poorly in English:

1. They refuse to abandon their Nigerian English before entering the exam hall.

2. Overconfidence: They believe they speak English very well, yet they still confuse “has” with “have” and make other basic grammatical errors.

3. They pay little attention to studying the subject because they assume English is easy.

You can all see now that scoring 98 is achievable if you truly prepare for it.

Some days ago, I was speaking with a client and he asked about our 2026 JAMB results.

I gave him a breakdown of our performance. Even though we didn’t meet our 370 target, we still produced many 300+ scores. He sounded a little disappointed, and I’m hoping we can still pursue the contract he promised us.

When you see us working hard and doing our best for our students, it’s not just because we want them to pass for their own sake alone. Their results are also a reflection of our effort, our credibility, and a pathway to greater opportunities and more contracts for us.

For our 2027 students, I have already restrategized to ensure we achieve the kind of results we truly want.

My teachers are already recording prerecorded lessons on the topics in their syllabuses. We’ll combine prerecorded videos with live classes and weekly assessments to create a more structured and effective learning experience.

I also bought this tablet to better organize my lessons for 2027. From next week, I’ll begin preparing the slides for the Use of English classes alongside the weekly assessments.

The target was 370, and there’s no reason we can’t achieve it.

I just pray that next year’s students will be made up of serious-minded individuals who truly understand what is at stake.

Someone posted that he loves the way men are holding Chike accountable for breaking the “bro code.”

My question is: why are these same men not holding Frank accountable for being an irresponsible husband, an irresponsible father, and a mean partner?

You cheated with several women, squandered your wife’s money recklessly, sold her house, told her to abort your baby, and never paid the children’s school fees.

Yet the outrage is directed to Chike?

Please stop the double standards and hold Frank accountable too.

Or is the “bro code” simply a shield for irresponsible brothers?

The Heads of Tertiary Institutions just want to increase their revenue.

If you applied to a federal university but you scored less than 200, don't keep your hopes up.

This is amazing! The highest score ever on Use of English.

Congratulations, girl - you're indeed a star.

I used A.I tools to help me edit my book, Oral English Guide, and they both suggested changing the title. 😅

One suggested:

Mastering Oral English: A Complete Guide to Stress Pattern, Pronunciation and Exam Success.

Another suggested:

Mastering Oral English for WAEC and JAMB: A Comprehensive Guide to Speech and Stress.

Now I’m confused about which one to choose. 🤔

The first sounds more global and professional, while the second sounds more exam-focused and targeted at Nigerian students preparing for WAEC and JAMB.

Which one would you pick if you were the author?

Many students fail Post-UTME not because they are not intelligent, but because they make costly mistakes after JAMB.

Some of the common reasons include:

• Waiting too long before they start preparing.
• Depending only on JAMB knowledge without studying the school’s likely questions.
• Overconfidence after scoring high in JAMB.
• Poor time management during the exam.
• Lack of practice with CBT exams.
• Reading without understanding the exam pattern.
• Distractions from social media and friends.
• Fear and panic in the exam hall.

One thing students must understand is this:
A high JAMB score does not automatically guarantee admission.

Every year, many students with excellent JAMB scores lose admission because they took Post-UTME lightly.

If you truly want admission, start preparing early, practice consistently, and stay disciplined.

Post-UTME is not an exam you prepare for in one week.

✅ Treat it like a fresh start: Your UTME score gets you through the door; your Post-UTME score gets you the admission.

✅ Practice with a timer: Don’t just solve questions; solve them fast.

✅ Know your venue: Arrive early to settle your nerves and avoid last-minute panicking.

Don’t let the "last hurdle" stop your dreams! Keep your head down, stay humble, and keep studying.
