Welcome to our fruit day.
Welcome to Monday 21st July.
KIS FRUIT DAY
What are fruits: Fruits are the sweet and fleshy parts of plants that grow from flowers.
Fruits are rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber. They come in various colors, shapes, sizes, and flavors, and are often eaten fresh, used in cooking, or consumed as juice.
Some examples of fruits include:
- ๐ ๐ ๐ฅญ ๐ ๐ ๐, etc.
Fruits come in seasons and there are benefits of eating fruits especially when they are in their season.
Seasonal fruits and their benefits.
Dry Season (November to March)_
1. Oranges ๐ (2)Tangerine ๐
3. Grapefruits (4) Pineapple ๐
5. Pawpaw
_Rainy Season (April to October)_
1. Mangoes ๐ฅญ 2)Watermelon๐
3. Pineapple ๐ (4) Guavas
5. Passion fruits
_Year-Round Fruits_
1. Bananas ๐
2. Citrus fruits (some varieties)
_Other Fruits_
1. Soursop (May to October)
2. African star apple (Udara December to May)
Eating fruits in their season offers numerous benefits:
1. Itโs high in vitamins & minerals
2. โ Has better flavor and texture
3. โ Lower cost but more in abundance
4. โ Use of less preservatives
In conclusion, I have always have this belief that God has specifically placed every fruit in a season for a reason. Sometime it prevents a lot from affecting our immune system during the effects of that weather. This an awakening call to parents to inculcate the habit of eating fruits especially on the kids seeing their body system isnโt strong enough yet and also reduce much consumption of canned processed fruits in form of juice because preservatives have been added to them.
Today in Krissella International School we are voting in Wednesdays and Fridays no juice day in school. What do you think??????
