Our present generation (NOW) and our future generation (NEXT) are part of the End time Army of God. However, there seems to be a missing link from one generation to another where parents are finding it difficult to plug their seeds into the godly ways of God. This present times have made it increasingly difficult for our children to stay on the path of righteousness.

Some children have already been wrongly positioned by parental and societal error.
We are here to provide parents with a godly intervention where we will join hands to ensure that their godly seeds are preserved and they can also preserve their own seeds.

Yesterday, some Team members of SCOUT in Uniport Chapter were privileged to reach out to over 700 Secondary School Students in Olobo Premier College, Choba, Rivers State.⁣

We went there with two messages: 👇⁣

Ladies, DON'T BREAK THE GATE⁣
⁣
After several encounters with the unprecedented high rate of sexual and moral decadence in the society particularly amongst school children, it was obvious that there was a great cry for help (largely unheard) among teenagers and especially children in Primary/Secondary schools, that the efforts of the school systems thus far had not been sufficient to deal with. ⁣
⁣
The home front and parental systems has largely failed also. Whenever we went for an intervention programme in a school and asked the students to write out their questions, we found out that the kind of questions the students were asking were bothering on issues so far above the wildest imagination of their parents, wards and even teachers.⁣
⁣
Today the average young boy and girl has a lot of sexual gabbage and their related issues to grapple with even right from the primary school and sometimes a lot of abuse that has already happened as a result of these issues that nobody else knows except the child and his or her violator. A situation which only leads to more and more issues. ⁣
⁣
From Ma********on, Exhibitionism, Fornication, In**st, Po*******hy, Homosexuality issues to unimaginable criminal cases of repetitive and undisclosed sexual abuse: R**e, Forced Prostitution, etc. involving the most unbelievable of people (wards, classmates, siblings, guardians, neighbours, teachers and at times even parents). ⁣

The issues are presently sky rocketing at an alarming rate such that its already looking like a speedy drain for a whole generation of potential saviours to our nation and our world. Indeed we see this generation as one in a critical state of emergency as we really do not have to wait till tomorrow to see the outcome of children growing up under emotional torment and injury. ⁣
⁣
This is the burden that birthed the SCOUT project. ⁣
⁣
SCOUT simply means Sexual Counselling Outreach or Sexual Counselling Team. ⁣
⁣
SCOUT is the answer to a generation of young boys and girls under the cruel jaws of a wide range of sexual abuse and perversions with no one to trust well enough to cry out to in confidence or patient enough to listen to their deep seated heart cry for salvation from evil occurrences that could leave permanent dents and “die hard” scars on their lives and even destiny. ⁣

Though conceived by SOV, it is envisioned in such a way that it can be adopted by any other body or organization so long as they will be trained and equipped to carry it out effectively. ⁣

WHO WE ARE?

The School Of Virtue (SOV) is the ministerial platform of the Virtue Blazers Club for inculcating moral and godly virtues, using every good means in line with the word of God as expressed in the Holy Bible as a means to preserving destinies and raising the foundations of many generations.

SOV is geared towards entrenching godly lifestyle, virtues, values, morals, skills and the lacking education to both adolescents and their wards as a means to eventually evolve a new, virtuous and excellent society.

The SOV Vision is to raise the foundations of many generations across the nations of the earth and to preserve their God ordained destiny!

OUR BEGINNING: The inaugural meeting of the School Of Virtue took place at the Ago Iwoye campus environs of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State in Nigeria on August 2003 and the impact has been tremendous since then. SOV is pursuing to use every means possible to achieve the set goal and objective. If there is a family to belong to, or a team to join forces with… This is it!

School Of Virtue came out of a burden conceived by Segun Coker in 2003. He presently works as an IT proffessional while doing itinerant ministry; writting, doing reformation conferences and ministering God’s word. He is married to Oluwasolamipe and blessed with children.

The current President of the School Of Virtue is Adeoye Dacosta who recently collected the baton from the Visionaire since January 2015.

OUR SLOGAN: WE ARE VIRTUE BLAZERS

WHAT WE DO?

Charging Point : This is SOV’s platform for communicating biblical truth accross board. Irrespective of age, gender or marital status, all are invited to partake of God’s word in such an unusual and impacting way. The meetings are organised monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly in different locations and communities. Though these meetings are presently only available in Lagos, Ogun and Plateau state, Nigeria, the messages are wide spread through recorded media (compact discs).

NATIONAL GUYS SUMMIT: Once in every year, SOV convenes young men from all works of life from school leavers to working class for a 30hr reformation and life impacting retreat. The summit comprises of life discussions, instructions/teaching from Gods word, business/entrepreneurship development seminars, counseling, etc. The summit is completely free to all participants as they are fed, accomodated and registered totally free. The meeting is sponsored by God through partners, members and friends of the School Of Virtue and it has been a wonderful experience since 2012. The camps are spiced up with several sessions and features from Worship sessions, seminar presentations, workshops, Drama, Prayer sessions amongst others. SINGLE MOTHERS PRAYER OUTREACH: This is a recent development and approach to addressing and reaching out to the single mothers of today… particularly the “yet to marry” single mother. Seeing that a lot of discrimination exists toward this set of people who have refused to take the evil option of abortion, SOV would use this medium to gather, encourage, counsel, intercede for, minister and give to all single mothers in attendance irrespective of age or religious affliation. It is a one day event and scheduled to kick off this year 2015 in the city of Abeokuta.

National Ladies Campmeeting: Once in every year, SOV convenes single ladies from all works of life from school leavers to working class for a 48hr reformation and life impacting retreat. Some of the greatest impacts and testimonies from the SOV labours have come as a result of these campmeetings. The campmeeting is completely free to all participants as they are fed, accomodated and registered totally free. The meeting is sponsored by God through partners, members, friends and fans of the School Of Virtue and it has been a wonderful experience since 2005. The camps are spiced up with several sessions and features from Worship sessions, seminar presentations, workshops, Drama, Prayer and the early morning exercises amongst others.

Ladies in their thousands register for this campmeeting via the camp website i.e – ladiescamp.schoolofvirtue.org and they attend from several parts of Nigeria and beyond. A special session for Mothers also holds during the Saturday mid-day sessions of the camp. Nothing best describes the experience than experiencing it first hand. Honeymoon Again (HMA) : This renewal experience of the post wedding “honeymoon” experience is a very unique SOV intervention programme for couples. Once in a year, the “Honeymoon Again” affords couples a time out to resolve and strenghten their matrimonial ties against divorce or divorce tendencies. The Retreat witnesses seminars, escurtions, sight-seeing, evaluation sessions, great fun all within the comfort of a beautiful lodging in a serene environment.

Unlike the usual couples retreat programmes, the main objective of the HMA is to allow each couple to spend quality private time together aside a few joint sessions of corporate interactions with other couples to learn from the experiences of others, film shows, intercessions and exhortations/teaching from Gods word. HMA usually takes place in October and Intending couples are to register on the SOV portal and book the rooms of their choice in advance. It is certainly an event every Christian couple should experience and those who have witnessed it, have always looked forward to it in the coming year. Engaged Singles Retreat (ESR): An annual retreat for courting singles preparing for marriage in order to prepare them for the journey ahead. A very good one for intending couples who are serious about building and keeping their marriage strong, purposeful, fresh and intact. A very good one for engaged singles intending to build lasting marriages. ESR is strictly for intending couples who are currently into courtship and it is a less than 24hr time out with God set to properly align the mind set of groom and bride to be in line with the word of God…

ESR features Prayer sessions, worship sessions, robust interactive discussions and down to earth teaching sessions on the subject matter.

Special Outreaches: SOV organises special outreaches to campuses and communities based on divine promptings. SOV also reaches out through tracts and other publications; chief among which is the Femina + Magazine : an inspiring package of articles geared at challenging the feminine folk to godly morals and virtues. SOV also produces tracts for guyz, girls, e.t.c as well as other printed materials. Presently efforts are on-going towards the first set of books from the SOV platform.
