What is a key?
simply in music a key is an essential note on which scales are built.
Also a key comprises of a set of related notes that are arrange in a particular sequence or series.
In piano keyboard,any of d white nd black notes is a key.like english language,music has aphabetd; thes aphabet represent d key ironically,it uses the first seven latters of d english aphabet: ABCDEFG.there is no h,k,or y note.
There are 12 note in d western scale.there are seven(7) natural notes and five(5)sharp or flats.the sharps and flat are the black keys on d piano keyboard.
In music,there are different keys that exists.
Again,the total number of unique keys sum up to 12.
They are namely:
1)Key A.
2)A-sharp/B-flat.
3)Key B.
4)Key C.
5)C-sharp/D-flat.
6)Key D.7)D-sharp/E-flat
8)key E.
9)key F.
10)F-sharp/G-flat.
11)key G
12) G-sharp/A-flat.
Dis symbol # is also used as sharp.
and dis small latter b is use for flat.of all dis their are 7 white keys,or natural notes.
These are:
A,B,C,D,E,F,and G.and five(5) black keys,depending on the way in which they are used,nd dis is normally started as:
A-sharp or B-flat
C-sharp or D-flat
D-sharp or E-flat.nd
F-sharp or G-flat
G-sharp or A-flat.
those d keys we have in piano keyboard.
And also there are keys dat are one, but have two names,i.e they can be called with either of two names,thus they are called ENHARMONIC KEYS.
