THE SUMMIT MAY BE OVER BUT THE JOURNEY CONTINUES
Happy Monday, Parents & Guardians!
A new week begins and what better way to start than with a reminder from our recently concluded Career Compass Summit:
•One conversation can change the way a teenager sees their future.
•Our teenagers are growing up in a world filled with countless career possibilities but having options can sometimes create confusion.
That's why they need more than instructions.
They need guidance.
They need exposure.
They need encouragement.
And most importantly, they need adults who are willing to listen.
As parents and guardians, you can keep the conversation going beyond the summit.
This week, ask your teenager:
1. “What career or skill are you curious about right now?”
2. “What did you learn recently that changed how you think about your future?”
3. “What would you like to explore more?”
Don't rush to correct their answers. Listen. Ask questions. Explore with them.
Your teenager may not have their entire future figured out yet and that's okay.
The goal is not to have all the answers today. The goal is to keep moving toward clarity.
New week. New conversations. New possibilities.
Let's continue creating a generation of teenagers who are confident enough to explore, wise enough to choose and prepared enough to thrive.
Do you have a question about your teenager's career, education, strengths or future?
Drop it in the comments. Let's continue the conversation!
