Do you know that according to statistics. 95% of Nigerian population belong to the linear income quadrant, while the remaining 5% belongs to the Residual (leverage) income quadrant, that is why the Poor/ Average income earners in Nigerians are much more than the Rich income earners?
According to the business of the 21st century by Robert Kiyosaki, every Nigerian belong to the cash flow quadrant; on the left side of the quadrant is the linear income quadrant which comprises of the monthly salary earners and the self employ persons while on the right side of the quadrant is the Residual income earners, this comprises of the Big Business Owners ( e.g Kilimanjaro) and the Big Investors(e.g properties).
The linear income earners exchange their time, effort and intellectual for money, if they do not appear or put in their work, they do not get paid.
But for the Residual income earners, they put in their money, time, effort and intellectual into their business and after building it up, they remove their time, effort and intellectual and the business continue to pay them even when they are sleeping or even on vacation; in this case people work for them, the big Investors invest a huge amount of money and inturn the money generates more money, on this case; money works for them, they send their money on errands and it returns with more money. This persons have built a system for themselves that gives them leverage.
The question now is, if me and you do not have that kind of money either to be a big business owner or an investor, does it mean that we cannot be rich?
Still in that book, I found out that since we don't have that kind of money to build a system that will pay us leverage till we die and also transfer to our children, what can we do? , what we can do is to go and plug into an already existing system, through that system we can enjoy leverage and live out our dream.
Just like Late President Awolowo, he plugged into Coca-Cola then, till today His children are enjoying the leverage, etc.
