Federal Ministry of Education Launches Free Digital Platforms for Lesson Plans and Learning Resources
The Federal Ministry of Education has introduced two new digital platforms designed to strengthen teaching and learning across Nigerian schools. The first platform provides ready made lesson plans for teachers across all subjects and grade levels, while the second offers a wide library of learning resources for Basic, Secondary, and Tertiary education.
According to information released by the Ministry, the platforms are accessible free of charge and were created to support teachers, reduce workload, and promote standardised lesson delivery nationwide. The resources include videos, lesson notes, activities, and reference materials that schools can integrate into daily teaching.
Many teachers and school leaders are not yet aware of the availability of these platforms, but early users have described them as timely and practical tools for improving classroom instruction.
Reacting to the development, education consultant Dr. Grace Phillips-Ayonuwe described the initiative as a significant step forward.
In her words
"Many educators do not know that these platforms exist, so it is important to raise awareness. From a professional standpoint, this is a commendable move by the Ministry. It reduces teacher workload, enhances lesson quality, and expands access to learning materials. It may not be perfect, but it is clear progress and schools should explore the opportunities it provides."
FREE WEBINAR FOR SCHOOL OWNERS, LEADERS, ADMINISTRATORS & ADMISSION OFFICERS
Date: December 14
Time: 7:45pm – 8:20pm
Venue: Zoom (link shared in the WhatsApp room)
If you’ve followed my work for some time, you already know I’ve spent the last 10 years teaching school marketing, training School Admission Officers, guiding school leaders, and even personally leading admission and enrollment teams inside real schools.
Over the years, I’ve trained others, practiced this work myself, led from the frontline in school admissions, and learned deeply from both my successes and my failures.
I’ve shared strategies with many of you even in this group and your feedback has always been encouraging.
Some of you got inquiries.
Some increased visibility.
Some converted parents.
But through all these years of working closely with schools, I discovered something very important:
A strategy can work in School A and fail in School B not because the strategy is wrong, but because something underneath is missing.
And this past admission season, working closely with a few schools to increase their enrollment, everything finally became clear.
Schools don’t struggle with enrollment because of lack of ideas.
They struggle because they lack a system — a structure that quietly holds everything together:
teacher behaviour, parent experience, visibility, follow-up, communication, environment, timing…
All the small things that determine whether a strategy succeeds or fails.
So I created a small workable system and tested it.
And the results were surprisingly strong across different types of schools, because systems create predictable outcomes, not scattered efforts.
That was when I knew it was time to build the complete system.
A simple, repeatable, powerful system any school — low-cost, mid-range, premium, village, city, faith-based, hybrid can use to grow enrollment without stress.
I call it the PES Framework.
On December 14, I’m hosting a short 45-minute webinar to introduce this framework and show school owners and school leaders why the next admission cycle requires a system, not random ideas.
If you want clarity for the next academic year, join us.
If you have a team, come with them.
