MICROSOFT TEACHERS CONFERENCE PORT HARCOURT 2022
A report by CENTRE FOR EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT & SKILLS ACQUISITION (CEDESA) INITIATIATIVE

Nowadays, everyone is concerned about the improvement of standard of living; economy and security. Teacher quality in terms of Information Communication Technology (I.C.T) acquisition is being downplayed by critical stakeholders which is seriously causing a knowledge gap between learners and teachers in the 21st century. In order to bridge this knowledge gap to enhance teachers' productivity and effectiveness in line with the organization's vision, the Centre for Education Development & Skills Acquisition (CEDESA) Initiative sponsored ten (10) teachers to the Microsoft Teachers' Conference Port-Harcourt 2022 organized by Ednovation Nigeria in April 2022 with seasoned international facilitators.

This insightful training was indeed an eye opener as educators from different states in the country were practically trained on how to effectively maximize online classroom teaching tools to benefit both teachers and learners. In addition, all participants were also duly certified as Microsoft Innovative Educators.

The topics which were practically handled at the conference includes; 21st Century Learning Designs, Teachers' Curation Tool (Wakelet), Connection Based Learning(CBL), Introduction to Coding/Robotics for kids, Coaching for innovation in the class room (Lesson planning with digital tools), and Classroom Technology 1&2
