After graduation from our College, PARAMEDICS can work in Accident and Emergency Departments of hospitals, for private ambulance services, hospital-affiliated ambulance services, or with firefighters, NEMA, FRSC, with International Oil Companies, other Govt agencies, etc.
Basic training includes instruction in assessing patients, and managing respiratory, trauma, and cardiac emergencies. It also instructs students on handling typical emergencies, such as emergency childbirth, cardiac arrest and fractures, Head Injuries and other injuries from Road Traffic Accidents, other accidents and violence.
Our programs provide on-the-job training, such as ambulance ride-alongs and hospital observation and practice, in addition to classroom work. Our students are taught more advanced skills, such as IV insertion, intra osseous accesss and use of advanced airway devices, Chestnuts insertion, Pericardiocentesis, etc.
