Please Join me while I Pray.
As we lift up our hands unto you oh God of our salvation. We pray to you Father with our troubles and problems. Let us remain calm and confident knowing You hear our needs. Allow us to be filled with calm and satisfaction removing doubt from our minds in Jesus name. Help remove fear from our hearts. Promote calmness and tranquillity as we pray and confess our souls to You. Let us be filled with joy and be renewed with Your Holy Spirit." In Jesus name we pray - Amen.

*How Can The Righteous Respond in times of crisis*

These are times that shake the foundation of our beliefs. Fear, confusion, suspicions.
But God is not caught off guard by these times. He sent His son Jesus to give us hope.
We have hope as children of God.

*What can we do now as Christians to respond in this time?*
PSALMS 11:3 - when the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteousness do?

*1. Run to God.*
These are times that require God's intervention. Experts, leaders will give guidance but they are limited.
Run to Him through prayer, focus on His word.
Why run to God?
• He cares for us.. He gave us His son. Romans 8:32. Matthew 6:25-33 - Don't worry.
• He has the power to change any situation. Where humans fail, God never fails. God has power to deal with this pandemic. Ephesians 3:20

*2. Resist any form of fear.*
Watching news, social media can bring fear. But fear is not from God. It's from satan to blind us from God's goodness.
Do not entertain fear. Hold on to faith.

Faith responds with humility & wisdom. Listen to instructions & guidelines given in this time.
Psalms 23:6 - God is with us

*3. Reach out to others*
Look beyond your circle & reach out. When the world is in crisis reach out with LOVE.
Reach out with the Word of God - people need good news. Tell the world about Jesus!

Take care of yourself as, live responsibly, we shall overcome. God is on our side.

FIX YOUR EYES ON CHRIST AND YOU WILL BE THROUGH
“And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.” Matthew 14:28 (KJV)

The moment we take our eyes off Him, failure will surely ensue.
No wonder, many began this journey well but are no where to be found today because they have sank into the ways of this life. Why? It's because they removed their eyes from Christ who is the ultimate guide and compass of our journey of faith. My charge to you this morning is to stay focused on Jesus. Beloved, the world we are in is not a smooth ride. Even Jesus never promised us a bed of roses.
Realise that when God made the promise to you, He did not tell you what you would pass through, He only told you the end result. In other words, God is calling you to fix your mind on Him and His word. The wind may be contrary, but don’t let it distract you; you must endure to the end because there is incredible joy when it is all over.
In the scripture above, the disciples were in a season of turbulence – Jesus had given the Word for them to go over to the other side, but the unexpected happened. They encountered a storm and immediately, fear enveloped them and in that chaotic state, they saw Jesus walking on the water towards them. Ordinarily, they would be scared but Peter did not allow the issue to distract him; rather than yell, he asked Jesus: ‘if you are the one, bid me to come.’ Of course, Jesus told him to come but never told him the water would be calm. So, it was stormy but also, Peter walked on the stormy seas until he took his eyes off Jesus and saw the waves and immediately, he began to sink.
Did you realise that the waves had been there all along, yet Peter walked on the water? Why? It was simply because he fixed his eyes on Jesus. As you are going through this year, fix your eyes on Jesus. I pray for you today: God will exceed your greatness and by this time next month, you will be singing a different song in Jesus’ name.
