PRESS RELEASE

SUBJECT: Professor Noel Nen'man Wannang's Investiture as Substantive Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Education Pankshin to hold Friday 13th February 2026.

Arrangements are in top gear for the Investiture Ceremony of Professor Noel Nen'man Wannang as the newly appointed substantive Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Education Pankshin.

Dignitaries expected to grace the Investiture scheduled to hold on Friday 13th February 2026 at the University Auditorium by 10:00am prompt include: The Pro- Chancellor Hon. Funsho Ekundayo Olumoko Ph.D, Council Members, Principal Officers of the University, Deans of the various Colleges, Professors, Heads of Departments as well as Staff of the Institution.

Other dignitaries expected include Traditional Rulers, Community Leaders, Representatives of Staff Unions, SUG, Representative of University of Jos and invited guests.

During the Investiture, the Acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Jere Ndazhaga Will officially present the Staff of Office to the new Vice Chancellor.

A thanksgiving mass will follow on Saturday 14th February 2026 at Holy Cross Cathedral Pankshin by 8:00am after which a brief reception will be held at Vel Sunset Pankshin.

You recall that the Governing Council of the University had earlier approved the appointment of Professor Noel Nen'man Wannang as the Substantive Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Education Pankshin for a five (5) year non-renewable tenure with effect from Friday 13th February 2026.

As Vice Chancellor, Professor Noel Nen'man Wannang will serve as Chief Executive and Chairman of the University Management Committee, the Senate, Congregation and Convocation.

FACTS ABOUT MOM

1- When you say, "Mom, 3 bread slice will be enough for me.", she will bring you 4.

2- When you're out, she will call you once in an hour, to check up on you if you are okay.

3- When there are 3 apples and your family has 4 members, mom will say, "I don't like apples".

4- When you go to sleep with no blankets, you will definitely wake up with one🤞

5- When you're going away to another city or country, she will pack you a bunch of snacks specially made for you. Then she will tell you, "Don't give all snacks to your friends. Eat it yourself."

6- When coming back home after a long day, the first thing your mom would say, "Come and have dinner".

7- Gonna study at midnight? Don't worry. Mom will make you tea, coffee with whatever snack you want and she will never complain about losing her sleep.

7- If it's for her children, mom will go to a temple no matter how far it is or how long it will take.

8- Sometimes, you may not like her. You may get irritated by her. You may even abandon her. But mom will always be mom. And you will always be her child. She will never stop loving you, that's mom's unconditional love.

9- No one in this world can take moms place...

10. And the list of the things they need the help of educated people to do remains unending.

Lecturers Of Ilesa University Protest, Tell Oyetola To Stop PPP Arrangement..

Lecturers of the Osun State College of Education, Ilesa (now University of Ilesa) have protested over the Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement for the University.

The lecturers who protested were armed with placards on Monday stated that their grievance with the Osun State Government is that they are not in tandem with the idea of community and government ownership of the university (PPP).

Also, they alleged that the activities of the implementation committee are not transparent.

Some eminent personalities in Ijesha land have been agitating for the University which prompted the administration of Adegboyega Oyetola to convert the state-owned Osun State College of Education, Ilesa to a university.

The State Commissioner for Education, Folorunsho Oladoyin in his response directed this reporter to the Chairman of the University of Ilesa Implementation Committee.

“No comment. Direct your questions to the chairman of the University of Ilesa implementation committee, Prof Olu Aina. Thank you,” he remarked.

THE IRONY OF LIFE
A poor man always think the rich man made his wealth out of luck.

And the rich man believes the poor is poor because he is lazy.

A young lady who got married very early thinks ladies who are finding hard to get married have bad character.

A man who just graduated and gets a job immediately thinks he is smarter than others.

While a woman who just gets married and start giving birth sees childless women as people who lived way ward life and probably have occult husbands who sacrifices their babies.

If only the poor knew the price the rich paid to get to the top and if only the rich knows the battles ,challenges that the poor is going through.

None will ever form a theory about each other.

If the poor can't appreciate the rich man's success let him mind his business, if it is easy to be rich he wouldn't have been poor.

and if the rich won't help the poor grow at least he should not kill the spirit of a struggling man.

If only you know what people endure or fight behind the scene, you will always thank God for your life. Until you walk in peoples shoes, you will never know how hard the journey is.

JUST IN: COEASU Emergency Congress

As a follow out of the COEASU meeting held today been 16th of August, 2022 at New Ref in the institution to address pending Local issues lingering the union

In the light of the above, the Congress members are therefore call upon to resume duty beginning from Monday 22nd August, 2022.

Therefore,The Students Union Government (SUG) urges the students, most especially the exams classes to resume with immediate alacrity to enable them to read for their exams and other academic activities.

The union also wish the students a successful journey mercies as they return back to Campus.
