The attention of the Old Students Association of Al-ameen Group of Schools (OSAAGOS) has been drawn to a Facebook report on the devilish act of one Afolabi Islamiyat Oluwatosin in which she was erroneously identified to be a student of Al-Ameen Group of Schools.
The executives of OSAAGOS wish to state categorically that:
1. The girl in question is not a student and was never a full time student of the school. She only partook in the JSS3 WAEC.
2. OSAAGOS had gone through the school record and no such name was found in the record book of Al-Ameen let alone, the book of life of OSAAGOS.
3. Al-Ameen is not a breeding ground for prostitutes but a Towery citadel of learning that turns out polished products who are making waves around the globe. We are proud of a connection of more than a thousand alumni from all works of life.
4. OSAAGOS frowns at the attempt to smear the glory of the school through reckless report.
We call on the general public to disregard this report as it is not only misleading, it is also eroding of morals and values we are known of.
Signed:
Sodiq Adebayo
President.

These days people think of relationships as a _Poverty Elevation Scheme_. Both Men and Women are guilty of this. Every (wo)man has been given his/her own means and no gender is _LESS_ than the other. Today is *International Women's Day* and I hope every *WOMAN* reading this receives the strength to rise above the *STEREOTYPES* and *DISCRIMINATION* of the world and the *COURAGE* to be _THE VERY BEST_ they were created to be. * *
In a zoo......there ar ostrich, snake and elephant, a man saw 40legs 4trunks and 50 eyes.....hw many snakes ar there in d zoo?
When a glass is broken, the sound of breaking disappears immediately whereas the glass pieces are scattered over the ground hurting whoever walks over it.
Similarly, when you say something that hurts people's emotions and feelings, the voice disappears immediately but the heart remains in pain for long.
Therefore, don't say anything except good and remember always the nine advises and prohibitions that Allah Almighty gave us in Suratul Hujurat (The Sura of Islamic manners) before you say something to anyone:
1.-فتبينوا:
"Fa Tabayyanu": Investigate: when you receive an information, lest you harm people out of ignorance.
2.-فأصلحوا:
"Fa Aslihu": Make settlement: between your brothers as believers are brothers.
3.-وأقسطوا:
"Wa Aqsitu": Act justly: whenever there is a dispute try for settlement and act justly among both parties as Allah loves those who act justly.
4.-لا يسخر:
"La Yaskhar": Don't ridicule people, perhaps they may be better than you to Allah.
5.-ولا تلمزوا:
"Wa La Talmizu": Don't insult one another.
6.-ولا تنابزوا:
"Wa La Tanabazu": Don't call each other with offensive nicknames.
7.-اجتنبو كثيرا من الظن:
"Ijtanibu Kathiiran min Aldhan": Avoid negative assumptions, indeed some of the assumptions are sins.
8.-ولا تجسسوا:
"Wa La Tajassasu": Don't spy on each other.
9.-ولا يغتب بعضكم بعضا:
"Wa La Yaghtab": Don't backbite each other. Its a major sin equivalent to eating your dead brother's flesh.
Lastly Allah said in the Qur'an "Remind, for the reminder benefits believers".
May Allah continue to Guide us in all our affairs. AAMEEN

*WHAT IF IT WORKS?*
```The queue to the ATM machine was something else because we all wanted to withdraw money. Although there was another machine beside it, nobody moved towards the second machine. We had about 25 people on one single queue.
When my sis & I got there, I also went to queue but she asked one of the customers what was wrong with the other machine. 'I don't know', he said, '... but somebody said there is no money in it'.
After listening to that 'somebody' tale, my sis told me to move straight to the machine everyone neglected and inserted my card. Lo and behold, the same machine 'somebody' said would not work, dispensed the sum of N25,000.
As we were walking away like
a magician, others who saw some cash I had withdrawn
broke away from the initial queue and rushed to that machine.
Why did I tell you this experience?
1. People don't get something they need from somewhere because they refused to try.
2. People refused to try because 'somebody' somewhere said it won't work.
3 The somebody somewhere may be an old authority who doesn't believe in evolution.
4. People won't take steps to do what others don't do because of the 'what if it doesn't work?' question.
5. People ask this question because they don't want to take risks.
6. Those who don't take the risk of checking if the other machine is working will remain on the long queue and may not even get what they need eventually. Meaning achieving in 2hrs what they could have achieved in 2min.
7. When a pacesetter comes and succeeds after 'chesting' the criticisms, others break ranks and follow him.
Therefore, stop believing 'the somebody' that asks 'what if it doesn't work?'
Ask another question: 'What if it works?'
Never allow anybody to discourage you!```
**** Cockroach Theory *****
A beautiful speech by *Sundar Pichai - an IIT-MIT Alumnus now Google boss.
*The cockroach theory for self development*
At a restaurant, a cockroach suddenly flew from somewhere and sat on a lady.
She started screaming out of fear.
With a panic stricken face and trembling voice, she started jumping, with both her hands desperately trying to get rid of the cockroach.
Her reaction was contagious, as everyone in her group also got panicky.
The lady finally managed to push the cockroach away but ...it landed on another lady in the group.
Now, it was the turn of the other lady in the group to continue the drama.
The waiter rushed forward to their rescue.
In the relay of throwing, the cockroach next fell upon the waiter.
The waiter stood firm, composed himself and observed the behavior of the cockroach on his shirt.
When he was confident enough, he grabbed it with his fingers and threw it out of the restaurant.
Sipping my coffee and watching the amusement, the antenna of my mind picked up a few thoughts and started wondering, was the cockroach responsible for their histrionic behavior?
If so, then why was the waiter not disturbed?
He handled it near to perfection, without any chaos.
*_It is not the cockroach, but the inability of those people to handle the disturbance caused by the cockroach, that disturbed the ladies._*
*I realized that, it is not the shouting of my father or my boss or my wife that disturbs me, but it's my inability to handle the disturbances caused by their shouting that disturbs me.*
It's not the traffic jams on the road that disturbs me, but my inability to handle the disturbance caused by the traffic jam that disturbs me.
*More than the problem, it's my reaction to the problem that creates chaos in my life.*
Lessons learnt from the story:
*I understood, I should not react in life.*
*I should always respond*
The women reacted, whereas the waiter responded.
Reactions are always instinctive whereas responses are always well thought of.
A beautiful way to understand............LIFE.
A Person who is HAPPY is happy not because Everything is RIGHT in his Life..
*He is HAPPY because his Attitude towards Everything in his Life is Right..!!* happy weekend.
