🕋 THE VIRTUES OF YAWMUL ‘ARAFAH 🕋

Yawmul ‘Arafah is not an ordinary day — it is one of the greatest days Allah created.

It is the day on which Allah perfected Islam, completed His favor upon the believers, and honored this Ummah with mercy beyond imagination.

The Prophet ﷺ taught us that fasting on the Day of ‘Arafah wipes away the sins of the previous year and the coming year for those not on pilgrimage. A single day’s fast carrying the reward of two years of forgiveness shows how immense this day truly is.

It is also the day of powerful du‘ā’. Hearts soften, tears flow, and sincere prayers rise to the heavens. On this blessed day, Allah frees more people from Hellfire than on any other day.

Yawmul ‘Arafah is therefore a day to:
✨ Fast sincerely
✨ Increase in du‘ā’
✨ Read and reflect upon the Qur’an
✨ Engage in dhikr and takbīr
✨ Seek forgiveness continuously
✨ Stay away from sins and distractions
✨ Pray for the Ummah, parents, family, and future

Let us not allow this precious day to pass like an ordinary day. Opportunities like this are gifts from Allah that may never return.

May Allah accept our fasting, our prayers, our sacrifices, and make us among those freed from the Fire. Āmīn.
