HIGHLIGHTS • Our Director of Engagement for 🇿🇼 Vanessa Mudzipurwa attended the “Girls in ICT” event hosted by earlier today!

The event was inspiring, filled with bold, visionary women shaping the future of and .

A few key takeaways that stood out:

• The power of strong support systems, no one succeeds alone
• The importance of reframing challenges as growth opportunities
• Staying grounded in your “why” as you navigate your career journey
• Showing up, taking space, and owning your voice in every room

Today was a reminder that growth is intentional, and as young women in tech, we have both the ability and responsibility to rise, support one another, and lead.

WATCH • Behind the workshop

A lava lamp experiment brought to life by students from Kimara Kutwa Secondary School in Tanzania 🇹🇿

💡 Here are 3 Fun facts about lava lamps:
• Lava lamps work through density, oil and water don’t mix, and the “lava” moves because of temperature changes;
• The original lava lamp was invented in 1963 by British entrepreneur Edward Craven Walker;
• The bubbling effect is caused by heat (traditionally from a light bulb) creating convection currents inside the liquid.

Empowering girls to experiment, question, and create, one workshop at a time 💡

Thank you to our Director of Engagement for coordinating this!

SPOTLIGHT • We’re celebrating Women’s Month by honouring women in our community who are making their mark in STEAM and paving the way for others to follow. We kick off with Alawode Christianah Boluwaji, a biologist who recently led a heart dissection workshop in February at Olivet Baptist High School in Oyo, Nigeria. Help us give her her flowers 💐

WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS • Our students dissected a heart during a recent workshop held at Olivet Baptist High School in Oyo, Nigeria. 🫀

One of our most hands-on sessions yet, the workshop gave the girls an opportunity to explore the structure of the heart up close, and deepen their understanding of how this vital organ works.
