Eacoed Primary School

Report of the Grand Finale Spelling Bee Competition organized by Classic Education Foundation held on Saturday, 9 December, 2023 at Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo.

1. The competition was categorized into two (2) categories as listed below:
(a) Junior Category
(b) Senior Category

2. Three (3) pupils that were presented for the junior category (Aselebe Abubakar, Muideen Soobiroh and AbdulRauf Muhammed Fikayomi) qualified at the preliminary level and knocked out stages to the grand finale

3. Two (2) pupils that were presented for the senior category (Bashir AbdulSalam and Okwuonnu Hadassah) also qualified at the preliminary level and knocked out stages to the grand finale and they competed favourably with students from standard secondary schools across the four local governments area.

4. Two (2) of our future spellers (Ganiyu Rosheedah and Lasun-Azeez Hasseef) were in attandance for solidarity support.

5. The rule of the competition changed at the grand finale level which adversely affected two (2) our pupils (one (1) each from junior and senior category)

The said rule goes thus: Pronounce, Spell and Pronounce.

6. AbdulRauf Muhammed Fikayomi of junior category was disqualified for his failure to pronounce before spelling. Though, he spelt correctly.

7. Okwuonnu Hadassah of senior category was also disqualified at the semi-final for her failure to pronounce before spelling.

8. To God alone be the glory, Aselebe Abubakar of junior category and Bashir AbdulSalam of Senior Category made it to the final.

9. Aselebe Abubakar came First and was tagged as the Grand Finale Champion for the junior category

10. Bashir AbdulSalam also came 3rd and was tagged as the Grand Finale 2nd runner-up of the
senior category.

11. They were presented with medals, trophies for the school, certificate of participation for the school and also a draft of twenty thousand naira each which the organizers promised to send to the school.

13. I thank the University Management, Management Board of the school, Parents and Guardians, Staff and Pupils for their contribution towards the academic performance of our pupils.

EACOED NURSERY AND PRIMARY SCHOOL celebrate one of her pioneer members: Mr Raheem Basiru

One of the founding staff of Emmanuel Alayande college of Education, Nursery & Primary School, Erelu Oyo is retiring from the service of the School in grand style and prosperous ending.

Mr Raheem B is a dedicated, highly committed,well behaved, easy going and a professional senior driver.

During his years of service to the school, He was duely committed to the betterment and prosperity of the school.

Baba, happened to be the first driver of the school whose service was enjoyed by the management,parents,staff and the pupils in general. No one has ever beat his trimendous achievement in the driving department of the School.

In the remark of the Head teacher of the school, Mr R.O Oladosu, He heartedly commended the effort,resilience and professionalism since the inception of the school.

Obafemi Awolowo Railway station, Ibadan

Our pupils had the opportunity of boarding the the business class coach of the electric train at Obafemi Awolowo Railway station Ibadan to Professor Wole Soyinka train Station Abeokuta.

This is a monumental achievement for the school and the pupils.
