This time last week, we wrapped up a week-long tech boot camp training held in conjunction with the National Association of Oyo State Students (NAOS). It was a comprehensive one as participants got away with different tech skills ranging from UI/UX, Web Programming and Data Analysis.

This is part of our ongoing plans to get more youth into tech and turn them into independent innovators and builders of solutions that affect our society at large.

We are proud of this achievement at Oyo tech hub and look forward to more of this type of collaboration.

The new NAOS leadership led by Abdqudus Opeyemi Taiwo are a set of young and vibrant youth who are ready to go the extra mile in ensuring that we build a digital society.

This is the reason we applaud their initiative and put our little weight behind them.

Keep watching this space for more.

Shots from our just concluded AI & CYBER SECUITY DISCUSSION event at the tech hub in Oyo.

One of the key highlights of this great event was having Engr. Patrick Adeleke Adeyemi, a senior cybersecurity expert from Texas, US, connect with the room for a good 2 hours. It was more than an inspiring moment full of insights for all of us.

And also the fireside between Mr Atoro Ibukun and Adegbola Abiodun, a cybersecurity engineer from the UK, was highly engaging and impactful.

The feedback from our audience revealed 100% appreciation and gratefulness, as they were all excited and gained more than expected.

Keep your eyes on this space as we plan a heavy banger event against this coming summer. Till then, cheers.

Ambassador Kunle Adeleke in Collaboration with Faozey Nurudeen 's Oyo Tech Hub Sponsors 100 Candidates for JAMB Exams**

In a groundbreaking move aimed at fostering educational empowerment, Ambassador Kunle Adeleke, a distinguished diplomat and philanthropist, has fully sponsored the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination fees for 100 candidates. This generous initiative goes beyond just paying for the exams—Ambassador Adeleke is also ensuring that these candidates receive thorough preparatory classes to equip them with the skills and confidence needed to excel.

In tandem with Engr. Faozey's vision wish is to ensure every citizen is digitally skilled to face education and workforce challenges, Oyo Tech Hub will be providing CBT preparation classes for all the sponsored JAMB candidates.

Understanding the financial constraints that often hinder students from attending such preparatory classes, the initiative also provides a daily stipend to each candidate. This token amount serves as a motivation for them to attend classes regularly, ensuring they are adequately prepared to tackle the exam.

By removing financial barriers and incentivizing participation, the program aims to level the playing field and give every student an equal shot at academic success.

The selection process for this initiative was fair and inclusive, spreading across all four Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the Oyo Federal Constituency. The initiative underscores Ambassador Adeleke’s commitment to ensuring that no deserving student is left behind due to financial hardships.

The overarching goal of this sponsorship, however, is even more profound—students who perform exceptionally well in the JAMB examination will be considered for full university scholarships. This added incentive reinforces the idea that education is a viable pathway to a brighter future.

Speaking about the initiative, Ambassador Kunle Adeleke remarked, "This is just the beginning. The future of our children should be paramount to us. We must not only provide them with opportunities but also set them on the right path regardless of their background or circumstances." His words reflect a deep-seated commitment to youth development and a vision for a more inclusive and educated society.

This donation stands as a record-breaking feat in the history of Oyo, setting a precedent for how philanthropy and education can intersect to create real change. It is a testament to what can be achieved when visionary leadership meets a genuine desire to uplift the community.

This initiative would not have been possible without the partnership of **Oyo Tech Hub**, the only technology hub in Oyo dedicated to helping citizens build careers in tech. The hub has played a pivotal role in ensuring that digital inclusion remains a priority, providing resources and support for young learners looking to develop tech skills.

The collaboration on this project highlights the importance of bridging the gap between education and technology, ensuring that students not only pass their exams but are also equipped with the skills needed for the future workforce.

Through this initiative, Ambassador Kunle Adeleke and Oyo Tech Hub are proving that investment in education is the most powerful catalyst for change. Their commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders is a beacon of hope for many young learners in Oyo, inspiring them to dream big and strive for excellence.

Ladigbolu Grammar School at 60:

Oyo Tech Hub supports teachers’ capacity through the use of ICT in the classroom.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development recognizes that the prevalence of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) has a significant potential to accelerate progress, to bridge the digital divide, and to support the development of inclusive Knowledge Societies based on human rights, the achievement of gender equality, and empowerment.

The effective integration of ICT in the schools and classrooms can transform pedagogy and empower students.

In this context, it is essential that teachers have the competencies to integrate ICT in their professional practice to ensure the equity and quality of learning.

Teachers also need to be able to harness ICT to guide learners in developing Knowledge Society skills such as critical and innovative thinking, complex problem solving, the ability to collaborate, and socio-emotional skills.

That's why at Oyo Tech Hub, we take professional development for teachers as part of our digital literacy investments.

At the facility in Oyo, our globally recognized EdTech leader, and also as part of his ongoing commitment to train 1 million teachers in ICT-in-Education by 2030, Mr. Ibukun Atoro single-handedly just finished training 35 teachers from a community school in Oyo town, Ladigbolu Grammar School, in celebration of its 60th anniversary.

All this was made to happen because a visionary leader, Engr. Faozey Oladotun Nurudeen sacrificed his time and money to ensure a good running of a hub that's useful for the community.

Please keep an eye on this space for our upcoming event this February.
