For 53 years, the National Youth Service Corps has stood as a symbol of service, unity, discipline, and national responsibility.
Every year, young Nigerians leave their comfort zones, move into new communities, experience new cultures, and contribute to the development of our nation.
This experience means so much to us because year after year, it continues to shape minds, build resilience, and expose our youths to the realities of leadership, work, service, and nation building.
Today, as NYSC celebrates 53 years, we honour the scheme, its leadership, its staff, past and present corps members, and every Nigerian youth who has carried the spirit of service with pride.
Happy 53rd Anniversary, NYSC.

Nigeria’s highest-paying listed companies paid a total of ₦42.6 billion in directors’ emoluments in 2025. The highest-paid directors across ten key companies accounted for ₦13.78 billion of that sum, representing nearly a third of the total executive compensation. Seplat Energy and MTN Nigeria emerged as leaders in this category, with Seplat’s top director earning ₦4.79 billion alone.
Now as a young Nigerian, these figures highlight a concentration of capital in sectors like energy, telecoms, and financial services. This wealth indicates a massive corporate budget for high-level problem solving. To milk this, you must stop being a spectator and start positioning yourself as a specialized solution provider for these top tier entities and their executives.

The biggest risk is not taking any risk.
Most people naturally believe the safest path in life is to avoid risk completely. They choose what feels comfortable, predictable, and secure. Yet over time, many discover that avoiding risk does not remove danger. It simply postpones it.
Life does not reward permanent caution. Growth requires movement, and movement always carries uncertainty. Even moving from one point to another involves risk.
When a person refuses to take calculated risks, they often remain in the same position for years while the world around them continues to change.
The risk of staying the same slowly becomes greater than the risk of trying something new.
