Appeasement (ipese) is the appeal given to the Terrestrial Mothers for them to bring blessings and goodness for someone because they are the most powerful women on earth.

This is because when Olodumare created the Universe, HE handed all the power over to them, so they can do and undo and that’s why we use appeasement (ipese) to ask for goodness from them, to seek their Support, To ease their grievances, to fight against enemies as well as connect to Olodumare through Them

Ipese can be made in different forms/ways and a lot of animals and different kinds of plants including roots are what can be used in preparing in and the making of the appeasement for the Iyami Osoronga.
