7 activities that nurtures your child's mental health:
1. Model healthy behaviours: like it or not, you are their first role model. So give them something worthwhile to copy.
2. Be consistent and follow through with your promises.
3. Have scheduled family time: you can choose to do anything here, from playing a game, preparing a special meal, talking about work or school.
4. Set and respect boundaries: Let your kids know their boundaries and don't "spare the rod" when they cross these boundaries.
