SSA on students affairs Pays Courtesy visit to the RECTOR Imo state Polytechnic.

The Senior Special assistant to the Governor of Imo state on students affairs Honourable Oparaji Franklyn, paid a courtesy visit to the RECTOR of Imo state polytechnic, Sir Mbadike John Okechukwu.

The visit is part of the Campus tour of the Senior Special assistant to ascertain the readiness of the schools in Imo ahead of school reopening for Academic activities.

Part of what was discussed, was how to work towards strengthening the security in and around the school environment by bringing together the security agencies, the school management and Student community. Honourable Franklyn noted that the protection of life and properties of the students are of great importance to the Executive Governor.

Honourable Franklyn also sought for peace between the host community, the school and Students of the polytechnic.

Also present was the leadership of the National Association of IMO State Students (NAISS) lead by Comr Anyaoha Tochi, who presented an award to the Rector of the institution Sir Mbadike John Okechukwu and was witnessed by the National Association of Nigerian Student (NANS) Representative and National Association of Polytechnic Student (NAPS) Vice President and others.

Appreciate the SSA for coming and took time to Eulogies the Executive Governor for prompt and for payment of 100% of their Salary, promise that the whole school will support the Government policies, describe him as a great and visionary Leader. He also noted that the school is working towards strict adherence to safety rules and precautionary method giving by the NCDC Covid 19 task force for school reopening.

University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Gov Uzodinma sets to Inaugurate Take-Off Committee

The Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma has approved the appointment of the following persons as members of the committee on the guidelines for implementation of the take-off of the University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Umuagwo, ( former Polytechnic, Umuagwo).

The Committee members are : Prof Ukachukwu Awuzie (Chairman), Mrs Uwandu Uzoma Beatrice - Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education (Secretary), Prof Victor Kogah, Prof Chidozie C. Eze, Prof Nkechi Ogoh, Prof Alloy Ojilere, Prof B. C Nwosu, Assoc. Prof Nwulu, Dr T. I Igwe (members).

The Committee was inaugurated today 5th June, 2020 at Sam Mbakwe

Gov. Uzodimma Inspects Imo State Polytechnic Umuagwo to take an on the spot Assessment of the institution due to the discrepancies that emanated from the Imopoly visiting panel.

Gov. Uzodimma who announced Imo State Polytechnic Umuagwo is eligible to be a university of Agriculture and environmental sciences, plans to set up a committee to prepare the Polytechnic to be ready to resume as a University before their next resumption.

He also commends the students and management for their good conduct.
