Dr. Jephter Akaehie Returns from WCF Africa Summit with Renewed Drive to Empower Young African Manufacturer

Yabsom President just returned from the impactful WCF Africa Summit held in Nairobi, Kenya — a landmark event convened by the World Chambers Federation in collaboration with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KNCCI).

The summit was officially declared open by H.E. Dr. William Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya, who emphasized the urgent need for deeper intra-African trade collaboration and the full implementation of the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

This high-level summit brought together an influential mix of World Bank representatives, policy makers, Pan-African entrepreneurs, and leaders from across the continent to deliberate on the vision for a Single Trade Africa — a unified trade system that enables seamless commerce among African nations.

Representing the Young African Business School of Manufacturing (YABSOM), our President had the opportunity to connect with strategic networks and discuss actionable ways we can prepare our young manufacturers for this new trade era.

YABSOM is now more determined than ever to:
