PRESS RELEASE

Determination of Change of Course Status

All candidates who were legitimately admitted by the Imo State University, but were affected by alleged change of programme are hereby advised to go to the Registrar’s Office for the collection and submission of forms for the determination of their status.

Both collection and submission start on Friday, March 28, 2025, and end on Friday, April 4, 2025.

The form must be submitted with the following documents for scrutiny:
1. JAMB Admission letter.
2. IMSU Admission letter.
3. Duly filled and signed change of course form.
4. Evidence of all school fees paid.
5. Last sessional results before the attempted change and after the change.
6. Evidence of clearance form from Faculty Officer.
7. A letter of undertaking, duly signed by the candidate not to be involved in any fraudulent act or admission racketeering.

NOTE: THE FORM IS FREE. Also note that this does not in any way mean that the University has thrown her door open for unauthorized change of programme. THERE WOULD BE NO EXTENSION OF TIME AFTER THE DEADLINE.

Press Release: SUG President Visit to the Commissioner of Nigeria Police Force🇳🇬

18th January 2024

The Student Union Government President (SUG) of Imo State University owerri is deeply saddened by the recent increment of hostel/ lodge rent across all our Student alliances. In solidarity with the Student’s interest the SUG, President Comr. Okwaraji Chidera V, (DERA DEY 4 U) personally visited the Commissioner of Police , to make complaints about the matters arising

During the visit, the SUG President Spoke out about the increment of hostel rents , as well as how Students are being harassed for not being able to meet up with the rent increment .

If there be any form of harassment on our dear imo stars from the Caretakers or landlords , please kindly report to the SUG President

We want to reach out to all students and we assure you that everything would come back to normal. The Nigerian Police Force won’t take it lightly if any student is being harassed or given a quit notice without proper timing . Expect more implementations soon .

We wish to inform our students in all levels that Wednesday, the 3rd day of January 2024 has been slated for the resumption of the first semester for the 2023/2024 academic session.

Therefore, we encourage our students in all levels to work towards this date and get themselves ready for resumption.

The courses to be offered at all levels and departments for the semester will be listed out in due time
