There is a saying that “children are different. Today, I truly understand what that means.
Today, September 8th, my baby boy turned 1 year and 2 months old. 🥹
Honestly, I had been worried for a while because he wasn’t walking on his own yet. His sister started walking before she clocked one, so I kept wondering, Why is my boy not walking yet?
Could you imagine? My boy could already stand up on his own. He could hold onto something and walk around, but to leave what he was holding and start walking normally on his own was difficult for him then.
He stayed like that for about two months, and honestly, I became worried. I kept wondering why he hadn’t started walking yet.
I even asked some people about it, and my husband kept telling me, “Stop worrying. His time has not come. When his time comes, he will walk.”
And guess what? 😭
Yesterday night, September 7th, my husband, my daughter and I were sitting in the sitting room, just discussing, when suddenly we saw this boy stand up and start walking on his own!
And the funniest part? He wasn’t even walking like someone learning how to walk. This boy was going fast, fast, fast! 😂 We were all so surprised!
I was just looking at him like, “So all this while, I have been holding you and walking you around for what?
Honestly, this experience has taught me that every child has their own time. We shouldn’t always compare one child with another because what one child does early, another may do later.
When their time comes, they will surprise you. ❤️
