Tomorrow 8th of March, 2026 is International Women's Day, it is imperative to reflect on the persistent challenges faced by women in accessing education worldwide.

Historical and cultural contexts across diverse societies have often imposed restrictions—be it through societal norms, religious doctrines, or traditional practices that hinder women’s ability to pursue knowledge and academic opportunities.

Despite considerable progress over the years, these barriers remain entrenched in various communities, limiting the potential for gender equality in education. Education is not merely a personal achievement; it is a catalyst for societal development, economic growth, and the empowerment of women as active participants in shaping their communities.

In light of this, Omni University is committed to exploring innovative approaches that can help bridge these gaps. We believe that addressing the socio-cultural and structural barriers to education requires collective effort, understanding, and tailored interventions.

The five-day seminar webinar workshop, hosted by Omni University and the Nigerian Society of Campus Writers, has culminated to a successful conclusion today. The event featured an enlightening presentation by Mr. Shadrack Oguta on the topic "Unlocking Your Potentials: Skills, Careers, and Goals in a Multipolar World". The interactive sessions were truly captivating, rendering the event an extravaganza that surpassed expectations.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our esteemed speakers, including Dr. Eling Felix, Dr. GT Obadiah, the distinguished Ms. Irene Muthoni Njoroge, and Mr. Shadrack Oguta, MBA, for their invaluable contributions throughout the event.
