FUTO CCE Honours Best Graduating Students In JUPEB..As The Director Wishes Them Well In Future Endeavours
The FUTO Centre for Continuing Education (CCE), on 6th October 2023, graciously gave Merit Awards to the Best Graduating Students in the just concluded final exams of the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB).
The JUPEB Foundation School (JFS) of FUTO is a One-year programme that offers four subjects - Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.
The Students are invariably prepared for the National JUPEB Examinations in three appropriate subjects, in line with their dream Course of study, by experienced and qualified Tutors and Technologists.
Those who came out successfully after the National Examinations are eligible for Direct Entry Admission into FUTO and other Nigerian/foreign institutions.
The Best Students of the Year Awards of the FUTO JUPEB were given to Miss Odunze Ogechi Marcella and Mr. Osugiri-Iro Ezichi Franklyn.
It's noteworthy that deserving recognitions were also bestowed on eight other graduating students that had excellent performance.
According to the Director of the CCE, Prof. Benedict Ozurumba, this would mark the second Honours' Awards issued to the Best Graduating Students of the JFS.
Prof. Ozurumba stated that the gesture became necessary in the Centre’s quest to spur upcoming students of the School to put in their best during their study year.
As released by the Management of the JFS, the Summary Table of the overall Performance for the 2022/2023 Session is as follows:
The Total number of registered students for the National JUPEB Examination, was 226.
Out of this number, 202 finally sat for the Examination.
(i) NUMBER WITH COMPLETE PASSES IN THE 3 A'LEVEL PAPERS was 83. This number will be admitted into YEAR 2.
(ii) NUMBER WITH INCOMPLETE PASSES was 89. They will be admitted into YEAR 1.
(iii) Number of Students that scored "F" GRADE (1 POINT) was 16.
(iv) Number of Students that scored ZERO point (0 Point) was 14.
(v) Number of Students that were ABSENT was 24
(vi) Number of Students that scored 10 POINTS & ABOVE was 28.
(vii) Number of Students that scored 6-9 POINTS was 54.
