This is to inform the public that IMO state University Owerri will commence it's post UTME/DE exercise on Monday 25th may and ends 25th June 2026.

𝙀𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮:
⚡Candidates must have chosen Imo State University, Owerri as first choice and scored a minimum of 160 in the UTME
⚡Candidates who did not choose Imo State University as first choice university but scored the required cut-off mark may also apply on the condition that they visit the JAMB CBT centre and change their institution of first choice to Imo State University, Owerri before the close of the POST-UTME application process.
⚡Direct Entry candidates must be holders of OND/HND/First Degree, 'A' Level or their equivalents in relevant disciplines and subjects.
⚡Candidates must ensure that their qualifying results are uploaded to JAMB.
⚡Candidates whose 'O' Level results are being awaited are advised to also upload same to JAMB as soon as the results are released. Candidates that failed to upload their results to JAMB will not be considered for admission.

Imo state University Owerri announce the commencement of admission into joint universities preliminary Examination (JUPEB) for 2026/27 academic session.

JUPEB is a one year programme enables candidates to secure admission into 200 level of their desired course of study into Imo state University and other Nigerian universities as Direct entry.

Eligibility: Candidates that are eligible to apply must possess minimum of five O,level credit passes which include, English and mathematics and three other course relevant to your course of study.

𝙉𝙤𝙩𝙚: All courses are available in JUPEB including Nursing, law, medicine, Engineering and others.

𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙡𝙮 : Application fee of ₦20,000 to be paid in bank (IMFB) excluding charges.
After payment proceed to school bursary for signing of paid receipt and now proceed for the online registration.
After online registration print and submit to Imsu JUPEB office along with passport, NIN and O level result.

Candidates who want to make corrections or switch to another institution are advised to visit any accredited CBT centre to process the changes immediately.

This is especially important for candidates who:
• Did not meet their preferred school cut-off mark
• Want to switch to schools currently selling admission forms
• Wish to change to less competitive courses
• Want to upgrade their admission chances

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has approved 150 as the minimum admissible cut-off mark for university admissions for the 2026 academic session.

The decision was reached during the ongoing 2026 Admission Policy Meeting held in Abuja, where stakeholders across Nigeria’s tertiary education sector deliberated on admission guidelines and benchmarks for the new admission cycle.

Under the arrangement, no university in the country is expected to admit candidates who scored below 150 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)
